I've wanted a quality Pro-One emulation for sooo long -- and with you doing it, I know it's absolutely going to be worth the wait. So excited for this!! The research aspect sounds fascinating, if a bit beyond my specific user-level grasp, functionally speakingUrs wrote:Ok, an update
Once that's done we'll sit down and add/tweak things to match the Pro One. With some twists maybe. Which I won't speak about yet. I think it's gonna be cool.

Cevin Key of Skinny Puppy (my greatest musical influence / industrial god among men) said recently that after meeting Dave Smith, Cevin told him that his Pro One was used on practically every Skinny Puppy song ever made (!!). I'd be curious, since Cevin is also an avid soft-synth user, if he himself would like to participate in the alpha / put the eventual final ReProOne to use for the band

Purgafori is an equivalent to Purgatory, but for forum posts. While latter one may be rejected, this one is very real.david.beholder wrote:Purgatory is rejected by Eastern Orthodox and Protestant churchesUrs wrote:About the bickering about other companies in this thread: Don't do it. Yeah, Monark is just fine being monophonic. I say, if it brings you closer to emulating all the intricacies, it's fine for it to be mono only.

Because we have a greater plan. But it's ambitious, so we need to cook things on a low flame for now, before see where we can take it to.hyperconnectedspace wrote:but why monophonic?

We've been matching some levels and stuff today. So we're actually on a good track to showing the alpha version during the Superbooth 16 trade show in three weeks.

If anyone with a Pro One would like to help us figure something out, I started a thread with a small request for an audio file:
