I don't have any issue with the current look, nor bothered by it. I like the synth as it is now, and I'm sorry I can't spend some time with synths nowadays...

Here's a quick mockup (using googled screenshots), how would it look with a knob change and a minor contrast setting. (Small knobs from Skinman library, big ones are coming from an SPL plug-in credit goes there)

EDIT: I've forgot to thank the developer for this synth! I do believe many soundbanks will be created for it.

that's nice. you should do that with the actual .bmp file (i modified mine a little). i'd buy that from you...

EDIT: nevermind, lot more to it than the background image...

i posted my slightly-modded arcsyn earlier; a little blue'r, brighter, sharper. not definitive, but looks better (to me, anyway).

Yeah, I don't seen an improvement with either of these mockups...

I'm not a fan of the UI, but oh well. I don't like the sliders and radials around the knobs as it reminds me of a late '90s look when faux 3D was a thing. Also the font detracts quite a bit from getting around quickly.

But again oh well.

I've downloaded the demo finally and I'm impressed with the sound. This might be my first synth purchase in a long time.

mine's not a mockup, it's 20 seconds of editing in apple preview; i replaced the original background image in arcsyn with me edited one. so my arcsyn looks exactly like that, right now. back to back, it looks better (again, to me); brighter, sharper.

How did you replace the original in the file?

i changed the backround image in the Resources folder (ALWAYS proceed with caution, and make a backup of the original plugin first!) am not a graphics expert, i just made the background brighter, sharper, etc. works for me (for now)... original first, then my touchup:

You must be on Mac. I just have a .dll file, and no resource folder.

Anyway, I like your second image. Seems more pleasant to look at.
