So far I haven't read anyone say that they do like it... Only that they can live with it.

While I don't think the poll was necessary nor do I think it provided any insight, I do think conversations on it can be healthy.

When Aether was released there was an equal amount of grumbling over the GUI. It took time, but a new UI was released that was indeed better. I actually liked the original before I was introduced to the improved UI and now I wouldn't go back to it.
I wouldn't call 11 people out of 36 saying they wouldn't buy the synth because they hated the GUI not providing any insight. I'm 99% positive that the dev is losing a lot of money because of this GUI.
or he's making money from the people who want to buy the plugin...just like any other developer's relationship to their plugin(s). some people like something, some don't.

let's move on already...

I can't figure it out either... I can't see why he just can't wait for an update like everyone else.

This is good news if true. 8)

Taking a thread about a fine synth like Arcsyn and turning it into a dick swinging contest is an abomination.

It was intimated near the beginning of this now surreal thread. I can't see why everyone just can't wait for the update (whenever it may be) and now just chat about the sound instead...

Mmmhh, yes! I feal a bit guilty now too since i also said i don´t like the GUI and wouldn´t buy it. I don´t expected KVR beeing such a drama queen :D
So i can understand if others don´t care about the GUI and that is of course totally fine.
Best option would be of course to have switchable GUI´s (like the U-he synths f.e.).

But the sound..... mmhhh yeah..... it´s pretty awesome!

You can skip the “if“, Steven from SPC confirmed it again to me via e-mail yesterday, so I can only transport this highly existential info into this dustbin of a thread.

SPC can you add the following features please in future versions:

- User designated Preset Folder path
- Ability to use folders, sub folders and sub-sub folders for preset folder structure
- New and organized/intelligible patch browser
- Ability to make any preset a default load up preset, by right clicking on it and selecting "Default Preset"
- Version number pop up or readout when clicking on the synth's name

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." - Jesus Christ

Its a high thing.

I don't know if he reads into this thread, being the "dustbin" it is, but just in case... I would love either multiple sizes or a scalable GUI.

I figure the rest, aesthetically speaking will be addressed, so I have no input there. I just want to use this without zooming in for any part of it.

Yes, he does read it.

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

I hope he understands that a majority look at this thread's silliness for what it is.

Now...can we PLEASE talk about the sounds?!?

A single ArcSyn patch fresh off the GUI, using aftertouch and modwheel on the fly, played live on disk:

The positive thing about complaining is that it shows how badly they want to work or buy this synth.
I'm surprised that it's missing some MSEG to complete the modulation madness.

You can easily build MSEGs using the different LFO shapes and numerous steps, chromatic sequences for pitch sequencing as well.

Not user friendly and not easy to fine tune. Doable but not desirable.
