I bought this synth, because i like the sound and the handling. And the gui was no problem. Now i read the posts here and wonder how people make demands, which don`t bought this synth because they don`t like the gui.
First of all the developer should hear what the current users told him and not what people say, which seems to appreciate the look primarily.
So please, steven: "Keep it real!"
The idea to decouple the modulation-matrix to the buttom, seems to be nice. But thats all for me. Its a great instrument, like it is.

I disagree.liquidsound wrote:Not user friendly and not easy to fine tune. I'm surprised that it's missing some MSEG to complete the modulation madness.

I bought it now too - still has a bug in Kore but I can live with it for a while at least.

That's a pity... As it must be a bit disheartening.Sampleconstruct wrote: Yes, he does read it.

Actually, i wouldn't take it as disheartening, but as a source to know what people criticize about the product, and consider to improve what he feels like improving. See, he doesn't distribute his software out of good-heartedness, but sells it to make a living. If i would do that, i'd damn well listen to what my customers, the ones who pay me to make a living, have to say. And the way i see it, the critics about the GUI are absolutely valid. To say it mildly, i've seen much better GUI's. It's an art to make it functional, clear and inspiring, but really, the way it is now, it could be (much) better really.Robmobius wrote:That's a pity... it could.... it could..... it could.....
It has a great sound! I use it for this. And i like the gui, mostly. So better leave it as it is and we are safe with sound of the minority

You seemed concerned but all you've been doing is complaining about those talking about the synth. Yes its about the UI, but it is still about the synth and no one would even bother dropping comments if they weren't actually interested in ArcSyn.
You want to talk about the sound of it, then add something to the discussion.

But the ones who bought ArcSyn, did so knowing what they would get UI-wise, some of the complainers are only potential customers, some just complain to complain, why listen to all of that? And if Steven (the dev) does this full time for a living or not, we don't know at all.chk071 wrote:Actually, i wouldn't take it as disheartening, but as a source to know what people criticize about the product, and consider to improve what he feels like improving. Fixing real, substantial bugs is much more important right now, a new UI will come afterwards.

I hope your future Banks will have some good example of it.

Although you'd think he was by some of the whining. 'Please... Sir...'
There's nothing wrong with criticism nobody ever said that - But only if it's constructive and there's a big lack of it here, as well as the incessant and blatant repetition of the same points over and over. That's a great help to a developer, no?
Some of it has been legitimate and I've agreed with a couple of points.
Patchpool made a brilliant comment tho'. Just because a few fekers moan, that doesn't mean they are legitimate customers or will ever even buy the synth - Just the typical KVR crew who love to be unhappy.
At least I've put my money where my mouth is and actually bought the product. I'm happy to support the dev...

Yes, this way is more modular and more flexible.Sampleconstruct wrote:I disagree.liquidsound wrote:Not user friendly and not easy to fine tune. Let me respond to this. My business is to buy synths so that I can make sound libraries so that I can sell them and make money, period. Therefore, I have to look for EVERY opportunity to buy a new synth, ESPECIALLY if I think it is going to be a big seller like I did when I bought Serum, which turned out to be my best selling library.Robmobius wrote:Ah thanks for clearing that up. Therefore, the fact that I haven't purchased ArcSyn yet, admitting that is it easily one of the 5 most unique synths I have ever heard since doing this, has to speak volumes about how difficult the GUI is for me to work with to the point where I couldn't even find the master volume.
I find it truly difficult to believe that I am the only serious potential buyer who hasn't purchased because the GUI is simply difficult to navigate around.

Why don't you just quote your own posts rather than repeating the same waggy mantra over and over again?
