I'm making a Kore template for it now I've bought it, it's actually pretty logically organised and one nice thing is it maps well to the 8 knob standard type of controller (even better if it has buttons too like Kore).

That's on you... Anyone else not able find the master? Anyone else not 'physically able' to work with this synth? Maybe you're the problem and not the synth.wagtunes wrote: Therefore, the fact that I haven't purchased ArcSyn yet, admitting that is it easily one of the 5 most unique synths I have ever heard since doing this, has to speak volumes about how difficult the GUI is for me to work with to the point where I couldn't even find the master volume.
Well, you just can't substantiate that... So that's just your 'anecdotal evidence'.wagtunes wrote: I find it truly difficult to believe that I am the only serious potential buyer who hasn't purchased because the GUI is simply difficult to navigate around.

while i think most users would prefer a light tone gui,
this is a nice dark toned gui on this new synth. (imho)

Red lettering over black background... again. When do people realized that a big percentage of users have a problem with red over black (like me)? Why not use green, or blue, or, even better, white? Why this insistence in the red?layzer wrote:while i think most users would prefer a light tone gui,

This is a good example of a pale gui without significance!layzer wrote:while i think most users would prefer a light tone gui,

I like to see a synth as complete artwork, as an artistic synthesis.
The gui of arcsyn reflects his sound-character. I love to look at it. The size is perfect. And the handling inspired.

I understand you Wagtunes about your "personal" taste, but the layout of the synth leaves little for guessing:
OSC section
Filter Section
Effect Section
Modulation and LFO section
where can a Master Volume can possibly be? At least some logical steps would take you to the last undiscovered area of the synth

If you told me you expected to break new ground on this subject, I wouldn't believe you.liquidsound wrote:I understand you Wagtunes about your "personal" taste, but the layout of the synth leaves little for guessing:

yeah, you're right fmr. blue or green would have been my choice instead of red.fmr wrote: Red lettering over black background... again. i don't get it at all. isn't a reasonable portion of your customer base right here on kvraudio? yet you continue to alienate the people on this very forum. maybe we need a poll: how many people have you fought with here, who will not, because of that, buy an arcsyn soundset from you?wagtunes wrote: Let me respond to this. My business is to buy synths so that I can make sound libraries so that I can sell them and make money, period. Therefore, I have to look for EVERY opportunity to buy a new synth, ESPECIALLY if I think it is going to be a big seller like I did when I bought Serum, which turned out to be my best selling library.
Therefore, the fact that I haven't purchased ArcSyn yet, admitting that is it easily one of the 5 most unique synths I have ever heard since doing this, has to speak volumes about how difficult the GUI is for me to work with to the point where I couldn't even find the master volume.
I find it truly difficult to believe that I am the only serious potential buyer who hasn't purchased because the GUI is simply difficult to navigate around.
take a break. focus on the big picture. make allies, not enemies. and take a little time to learn your way around the plugin, if you're truly interested in it.
meanwhile... i told steven i could hold down a single note with one of many of these sounds, put a beat under it...and i'd have a dope song. and it's true....

it does speak volumes. about you. specifically your intellectual capacity.
you couldn't find the master volume, and you expect the dev (or anyone else for that matter) to take your belly aching seriously ?
trying to spin this so that it is an indictment of the GUI is simply laughable. ha ha!
