Urs,
Even if they don't sound that good, I would be curious how it worked out for you. Some of the patches don't have all of the settings, which may sound quite different depending how those are set, in my experience.

A quick update:
As of today, the alpha version is in internal beta. It'll stay like that until after Superbooth where it'll make its first public appearance.
The Alpha is a stripped down Pro One with focus on filter modulation. It comes with 5 different methods to calculate the same filter, one being very accurate while the other ones are better or lesser approximations. The reason being, we want to see how people perceive those differences and which one they'd pick if they had to pick their favourite. This way we wish to see if we can get away with less CPU hungry algorithms in future, also for Diva and Zebra.
Here's the latest screenshot with the respctive features:

I haven't tried it yet... I'm drowning in work to prepare for Superbooth...aaron aardvark wrote:Urs,

Perhaps a dumb question, but how does one control the amp ADSR?

options are either gate, or filter envelop... there is no separate amp envelopFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Perhaps a dumb question, but how does one control the amp ADSR?

I thought Pro-1 had a separate Amp Env section below the filter Env. Lemme guess - that's for the final version?

Really excited to try this out, and very curious if I'll even be able to tell any difference in the Filter models. i'm guessing it will be subtle?
This has probably been asked before, Urs, but will the final version include all the modulation options of the original hardware? And if so is the approach "exact replica" or will it take software liberties with it? Just curious.
PS: great UI, "feels" like the Pro One

Exact replica
(Difference of filter computation methods is obvious, but putting a finger on the best algorithm is hard)

So finally the one and only warm analog vst?Urs wrote:Exact replica

Hehehe, I don't think the Pro One has ever been regarded as a terribly warm sounding synth. I'd rather describe it as raw and serious. It can do decently warm and rich bread'n'butter sounds, but where it excells is extreme modulations with a fair bit of grit.david.beholder wrote:So finally the one and only warm analog vst?Urs wrote:Exact replica

Awesome news. I like the less-is-more replica approach, and wish there was more of it going on. Sound should be the priority, not software bells and whistlesUrs wrote:Exact replica

There's only two synths that I've dreamed of having "near perfect" software replicas of: the ProOne and the Xpander. So, you're potentially making half of my dreams come true
Cheers!

Looking forward to trying this out.
That RePro UI is very low contrast. The lettering is so dark that it is hard to read in a bright room.
