This is what I'm talking about, Geist can do so many great things but can't do straight notes and triplets in the same engine :dog: what were they thinking as this is basic sequencer stuff, I've been complaining about this for years.... That's why I won't upgrade,I still have to sequence Geist with logic or Ableton and the step sequencer with in Geist is kick a$$, what a shame...

Hi, sorry if it's been mentioned already, and it's not a perfect solution, but have you tried just adding shift to create triplets?
Add 0.33 shift to the second step in the bar.
Add 0.67 shift to the third step in the bar.
Leave the last step blank.
Copy/paste to later bars.
Obviously it's a bit annoying to do it every time. It's a shame there's no preset to do this in the graph edit drop-down menu.

Yes I have,I really like the shift function just not for that, easier for me just to drag the midi into Logic and add triplets there...

What a strange limitation. :dog:

Speaking of engines, can I simply toggle a new engine and load a new kit from the library without the pads pointing to the 1st engine selected? I'm still dabbling in this workflow and can't seem to easily grab sounds from multiple stock kits in an easy method.

Engine 1 selected, select kit from First factory library. Play simple drum/snare pattern.
Select engine 2, then browse to another kit.. play pads including drum/snare. Will this overwrite anything on engine 1 or require reassignment of where the kit "2" places the samples on the pads?

I could probably start making new kits on all 64 pads rendering this method useless; however it seems like I'm tied to single kits when using the factory sounds over multiple engines.

Which ever engine is selected that's were the loaded kit will go

Nothing will be over wrote by loading kits to different engines, only the global choke group would have an effect over different engines if applied

Well you can go into each kit under Presets\Full Presets to just get a single snare hit from a kit

Can someone please do a feature request for being able to have different note values for different kit pieces? Please.

You're correct, it is still the same as Geist1. We're aware that this is something we need to tackle, but the underlying "step sequencer'-ness of Geist makes it a difficult task.

Thank you. I missed that. I wonder if they are working on it? Or need more requests.. So Geist 3? I'm buying as soon as they fix it.

That is good news if they fix it but they will probably have to rewrite the sequencer which I doubt will happen, not at this point anyway.... Should have been there from the start!!!!!

Is there a way to trim samples?
I havent figured it out yet

Post

after 5 sides of discussion over 16t dotted
its not available in same engine you must use second engine for other quantize style
groove templates are only per engine

So is Splitter 2 in the new beta because its not in the release version?
