Sorry to return to the issue of triplets, (and sorry to derail the thread) but I'm interested in what drum software does actually allow triplets and straight notes in the same sequencer?
I own several drum sequencers:
Groove Machine, Transfuser, Drumaxx, Breaktweaker, Geist, Tremor, Reaktor
As far as I can tell, only Breaktweaker, Tremor and a small number of Reaktor ensembles (e.g. Massive) let you have triplets and straight notes in the same sequencer/engine.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

logic does ,
it has a 16 and 24 template
my tip:
make a midi template with 16 and 24 grid within in another sequencer
and import this midi file as a groove template in geist 2
but i dont know it runs right
groove engine per pad PLEASE

not perfect and not what you want really at all..
but i find i can get a lot of great patterns just programming in repeats per step and adjust pattern length for each pad.
btw - elektron octatrack (and i think A4 and rytm) offer fractional multiplications/divisions + independent track lengths plus ability to move each step off the grid quite easily. not saying any of these are substitutes for software but it's sure a lot of fun to program and capable of great things.

.gsa files contain tempo and slice information and are created when you slice an audio file, they shouldn't be created when you're simply loading samples into Geist2.flares wrote:is there a way to load samples in geist2 without create gsa files in the sample folder?

Custom number of steps per beat...yeah. This would be really nice, especially when the number of steps per beat would also be 5, 7 and 9 next to the usual step amount.memyselfandus wrote:This! Should be a standard feature

maybe get in touch with fxpansion support if this keeps happening, .gsa files should only be created when an audio file is sliced.flares wrote:no ,slice is off .

Hi, will there EVER be a Geist Taiko expansion? I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't feel like I need BFD as long as I have Geist, and I for one would buy that expansion in a freaking HEARTBEAT, full price or not. I'd also buy up anything Hard Rock and Heavy Metal for Geist. You bring it, I'll buy it.
Ha ha suck it!
