Earlier I said, The Synth is great and all...
Now I came back, after I went trough most of the features and got to say this is the best sounding vst I've ever heard. It's just amazing. Closest you can get before the hardware in terms of sound quality.
This guy amazes me. Buying it for sure.

Since there's no polyphony here, I don't think multicore can happen...

Just tested the 64-bit AAX plugin in Pro Tools 12.5 and Windows 10 64-bit.
Looks OK so far including saving/loading the last used patch with a project and using both aftertouch and the Modwheel with a MIDI controller (those 3 sometimes caused problems in certain otehr AAX plugin i tested in the past).
Also using Repro-1 within the Komplete Kontrol v1.7.1 AAX plugin and with the NI Komplete Kontrol S61 controller keyboard seems to work here so far. Browsing NKS presets with the keyboard controller seems to work too.

I looked for information about synth it is modeled after and it looks like it is the streaped down Phrophet 5.beely wrote:Because it emulates the Pro-One, which is a monosynth.chilly7 wrote:Sorry if it was asked before. But i have no clue why it is only mono.
Not for this product, no. It's a monosynth...chilly7 wrote:Is polyphony planed?
1)Why Uhe did not model after Phophet 5 it self?
2) Also i do not understand the force going on for mono synth only.
Is there technical reasons for mono only?
P.s.
I tried Uhe RePro and i can say for sure that mono only limits it use very much.

Oh, god, you're so right. Musicians rarely, rarely use leads, basses, percussion or fx...it's all pads.chilly7 wrote: I tried Uhe RePro and i can say for sure that mono only limits it use very much.

FFS people please stop complaining about mono, you just need to learn how to make any mono synth play in polyphony # of your choice.
I won't repeat this info here, use google or kvr search.

This has been explained many times, if you're curious the best thing to to is to go back and read through the reasons in the early parts of the thread - basically, the Pro One is a synth that Urs is very fond of, and had some modelling challenges, so it seemed a good fit to do (well). And ironically, i was one of the first synths that people started to model at the dawn of the VST instrument age, but then got forgot about, so no one had gone back and done a really good emulation with modern techniques.chilly7 wrote:I looked for information about synth it is modeled after and it looks like it is the streaped down Phrophet 5.

A Pro One is not just a 1-voice Prophet 5, there are things that are different, and it is it's own instrument.
Urs has said somehing more along he lines of the Prophet 5, in some form, may happen later, but for now, the Pro One is the synth that is modelled, and there are many good reasons for keeping it a mono-synth - if that is a deal-breaker, then this probably isn't the instrument for you.

That's second most popular complain after CPU.Mutant wrote:FFS people please stop complaining about mono, you just need to learn how to make any mono synth play in polyphony # of your choice.

I think both groups need Hive not RePro-1.
Murderous duck!

The way extra attention has been put into the GUI design of the effects, draws my attention to how Hive's GUI makes the effects almost literally transparent, and tiny too. And I think that does have an effect on people's perceptions of them, and their worth. Though obviously I don't think they all need their own individualised GUI.
