It did not feel like an invasion, except for the sounds. The feel is a happy one. Happy invasion, happy for us or for them?

thanks for stopping by for a listen....Jesse Gorter wrote:It did not feel like an invasion, except for the sounds. The feel is a happy one. Happy invasion, happy for us or for them?
and well, not ever hearing what an actual alien invasion
sounds like.............
it was a little inspired by the disco upbeat close encounters
movie theme which still reached great popularity despite
the "happy" feel.

I disagree(partially)...as it starts out somewhat lighthearted and upbeat...but progresses into that invasion vibe and is slightly foreboding, once the energy picks up.Jesse Gorter wrote:It did not feel like an invasion, except for the sounds. It's a question of perception. These alien invaders may actually enjoy their work, in which case a happy, upbeat soundtrack could be just the thing to keep their spirits and productivity high. Just what Commander Blarg ordered. "Whistle while you work" for the SciFi generation.
This is actually a great little tune, with some well-chosen sounds, especially the Vanguard and CRX4 parts.
Good work

An attractive tune that chugs along efficiently. Not a dull moment.
The stereo width and reverb is perhaps slightly overdone IMO.
Good work overall, human.

thats the way those aliens work. they act all happy and friendly in the beginning, then slowly progress with the true agenda..... like in that old "to serve man" twilight zone!AlesisVi61 wrote:I disagree(partially)...as it starts out somewhat lighthearted and upbeat...but progresses into that invasion vibe and is slightly foreboding, once the energy picks up.Jesse Gorter wrote:It did not feel like an invasion, except for the sounds. Cool track with great sounds, nicely composed.
Agree with Tim that the aliens might 'have' to enjoy their work. "Have a nice day" and all that...
The sound that sounds like the ship landing in great.
Well done!

Good work
i just picked up CRX4. i was looking for a hybrid without a lot of bloat.
i liked the GUI and its features, has a cool sounding unison detune.
i was auditioning sounds and immediately thought of space when i heard
the bell EP. which quickly turned into the little melody in the song.
i dont really get a happy vibe from it as most do,
i get more of a hurried panic feel off it, thus the invasion name.
