Kind of static, space music.
#nothing to get too excited about.

back to Absynth.
also Massive, Monark. SonicCouture Glassworks.
Cymbals.

kind of a prelude type of event.

Interesting.
Until now I have focused on the basics of a production, time to make things more well.. interesting :)

thanks for checking it out

I often start with this sort of thing and come up with more 'instrumental' type ideas based in the sounds.
this, I pretty much meant as 'ambient' without much attention to 'melodic' interest.

I use to work the other way around. Which lead to a lot of 'unfinished' work lol
I am aware of this but in a technical sense composing is totally different than mixing.

I am not exactly a technician. I already consider myself lucky to have a basic understanding of audio production by now.

When I started with teh DAW m.o., I had little-to-no knowledge of production tools or techniques.
I got better

I mix while composing today, it's a larger version of getting a good tone on your instrument I think.
This is a sketch, albeit I'll keep most of what's down. the end is open, I mean it doesn't. (v.2 does)
As much sound design as anything. -<No, this is no place to be so open.

thanks guys

I use the same approach or I simply write down an idea. Usually a melody.

I haven't made a composition on paper since '05.
The first things I got to hear was because I acquired a Teac 4 track tape recorder and my friend still had the Minimoog from the '70s. Later, '80s, I lived in a house where we free-improvised all the time. I still wrote a lot down, rather uselessly, hankering after that Yamaha sequencer I never quite got the money together for.

I don't plan much, I just go in there and make a soundworld and populate it.

Version 3 up, now with a Coda. More or less finished with this part.

Thanks for commenting.

I listened to this a week ago, and I see that you have now extended it by almost a minute. Its definitely an "ambient" thing, and with quite a bleak atmosphere. Kinda smoky and hazy. I'm looking forward to hearing you draw back the veil on the rest of the series.

Good work :)

I've finished another since*. It's not like this really at all. Same instruments mostly, I went the opposite direction it seems.

I knew this had no ending, I decided to make one. I'm feeling strong.

hadn't heard this since sunday. it IS dark. a cold, dark matter... :D

* tundra ending seems to indicate this

I find interesting all those conversations about plug-ins/synths etc.
That said, definitely appreciate hearing what one can come with using them, especially so cleverly.
Inspiring.
