If Roland made a D50 vst emulation, would you purchase it?

Yes, as long as it was reasonably priced.

If they only would offer an offline version of D50 vst. This is the first Roland synth vst that does not kill the cpu. Roland, so please fix the last remaining problem.

Thanks a lot beely, now everything works well.

Folks on gearslutz have asked for the conversion tool, so I am knocking up a quick web based version for people to convert their own banks (upload SYX file, download converted BIN file etc)...

Hi,
The plugin does not remember the directory when loading banks (Patch - Load), always using "MyComputer".

Only me?

(Reaper-32 bit on Win-7.64, D-50 running bridged).

Anyway, thanks to beely for the converted banks, some amazing tones among.

I'm on OSX here, but I don't have the same problem - the plugin opens the file selector at the previously loaded/saved location.

Not just you, happens over here. Annoying.

This is why I have all the banks OUTSIDE of "Patches" folder, then they just show up when I click on bank name in a dropdown menu, no need to visit the Patch-Load button at all.

Are you saying you can import new banks into the plugin without using the "Load" button in the patch window?

Ok, I've put up a web based D50 syx converter :)

This hasn't been *extensively* tested (eg on other web browsers and platforms etc) but give it a try and let me know if anything isn't working for you.

The utility is here: http://www.difficultaudio.com

I can't keep up..

(+ yesterday/today all my cloud-synths went spastic and crash the DAWwhen i open/close the GUI.. after it played some notes. . all beside D50 i think. I did reinstall shop VSTs)

(edit: D50/Juno/Jupiter are ok, all other cloud-VSTs crash Cubase and Maschine.
I did de-install cloud-stuff and reinstalled the shop versions of SH-101/SH2/System-100 to fix these. + of course kicked tons of crap out of hidden folders in windows/local roaming before install..)

Edit2 :)
There are "original" for all+"Mathew Jonson" banks for SH-101 in the shop.

That is EXACTLY what I'm saying :)

Ah great, I just checked and it works like this on OSX too.

It seems that all the "Load" button really does in the plugin is copy the selected file/s to the plugins' file path, and rescan so they show up in the plugin.

On OSX the bank path is: /Library/Application Support/Roland Cloud/D-50

If you copy the bank files there manually, then restart the plugin, they do indeed show up in the plugin list, and this is a much easier way of getting the banks "in".

Nice! :tu:

are there any officially sound banks which are recommended to buy? or are all for free?

Patch-folders are (Windows) C:programs/VSTplugins/Roland/e.g. SH-101/patch.

When you have a bank on the desktop and want it in the plug-in.. you can press "load" in the patch-window and go to desktop and load it.. --> The plug-in saves this bank in the patch-folder.. so it shows up in the patch browser of the vst.

(wtf.. 4am .. i have this CZ-101 here..it's great. Envelopes with 8 breakpoints..)
