It's like this thread has turned into a strange form of blackmail. "Release it, or we will keep posting an ever increasingly stupid list of potential names until you do!"

It's been finished for a while, but somehow there was a timing issue with the integration of the new preset browser

That said, the worst crashes seem contained, there is progress and everyone at u-he can't wait to get this out!
"timing issue" :D Hehe maybe the new preset browser is so hardcore it uses the internal clock. I hope it can be modulated at audio-rate. :clown:

It took you that long to figure out our plan?

Got an Mode Machines Professor V2 just for repro-5... I still miss my old Prophet-5 I sold 6 years ago, I think some real knobs will help with sad memories. :hihi:

So I've heard that the P5 rev2 is said to be the better sounding one. Watched a sonic talk the other day where Dave Spiers was saying the rev2 had some magic lacking in the rev3. But I've read that repro-5 is based on the rev3. Do the modifiers allow for as much of a rev2 emulation?

Is it still on sale?

Repro-5 is essentially a polyphonic Repro-1. If you like the sound of Repro-1, you'll probably like the sound of Repro-5.

We do have offers to borrow a P-5 Rev 2, but modeling it would involve creating a whole new set of algorithms because different parts were used. At this point of time I'm not convinced it's worth doing. Maybe once those inevitable comparisons come up - it would give us a reason to do an update in a year or two, not sure

Discontinued but I grabbed a cheap "open box" in Juno UK. There are some new omes in ebay. I think that with repro-5 would be a good time to re-release

I got one too. It's a lot of fun to play with, but it doesn't map oscillator tune nicely. While the real Prophet-5 has stepped tune, Repro-5 is continuous (like Repro-1). So I'm mapping the tune knobs to the octave selectors, and the Detune knob to VCO 2 fine tune control (or so... have to look at it again).

But then again, I mainly go for filter, mixer, mod depth and envelopes.

How many bugs are left on the buglist waiting to be squashed?

I'm going to stand on my head while waiting for release...:ud:

For sure it is worth doing it! Because SSM > CEM :)

What Urs is saying is that he needs lots of grumpy Youtube comparison videos to inspire him. :tu:

Maybe I can troll enourage some people in the forum hardware section to do this. But will wait till Zebra3 is completed because I want that baby so bad. :D
