Hs anyone figured out how to use timbre and aftertouch with Halion 6 in bitwig?

So it looks like Halion works really well with independent note pitch without any tweaks, so that's cool. However can anyone tell me how to get aftertouch and cc74 to respond? There are modulation sources for both but nothing happens.

I have tried both having it set to force mpe or not. Same behavior either way. Pitch bend is per note but other modulators don't react. I've also tried changing the midi channel to 2 on the Halion program by it doesn't respond to mpe then which is weird. It only responds when set to channel 1 even though mpe data in bitwig sends channels 2-16. Maybe vst3 work differently with mpe data?

Also one gripe -it appears that when playing mono legato, you can't slide the pitch of a note on consecutive legato notes (such as when using the touch screen grid).Only the first one. This is a bummer. Only seems to work with retrigger type mono. But I haven't figured out all the modes. Anyone know about this?
