OK, so I made a vocoder, I still have a small problem with bleed from the carrier, but I think a simple solution can be found. On the clip I'm tweaking the various controls. The resonance for both the carrier and modulator filters can be tweaked individually, as well as the attack and release of the envelope followers, amongst other things. I find this already better than most free vocoder plugins I've tried :D By hitting up enough resonance on the analysis bands, speech turns into this robotic garble, as can be heard immiediately at the beginning of the clip, I really like that.

OK, I fixed the leak on the carrier wave... Now it starts to be quite cool, really legible too, or ringy, or whatever is needed :) It's a bit tricky to use, I have three channels inside a group track, one for modulator, one for carrier and one for the effect output. So the preset alone must be configured by hand, if this whole clip is not loaded. But no biggie IMO, it's even clearer this way when it just works without having to configure anything.

If just the preset is saved and imported, all audio receiver settings must be reapplied by hand, 30 times in total for all bands...

I'm so glad somebody uses this :D It took some time to make... I hope the graphical editor is released at some point, it would be great to be able to make a wrapper like the native devices have. On the other hand, now this is much better for learning.

I also got an idea how to enable the saving of the preset so that all the inputs do not have to be set again. Just put two audio sidechains on the topmost level of the layers, and then route into those from all those audio receivers in the individual bands. So when the preset is loaded, only the two inputs that can be seen on the top level must be set. I will see when I next have some time to put into this. I'm not sure if this will work, but I think it should.

You are the master. Also, I didn’t know there was a preset upload/download section!

Yup not many people seem to use it much :/ Maybe we could just have this built into Bitwig?
