A really nice resource for VCV and details third party modules

TIA
There is also a recorder module available from a third-party developer; it's listed on the vcv rack page that lists the available modules, in the the third-party section at the bottom.

That's great and regularly updated and it is probably also worth adding that the hub of activity is here:

I have spent my life avoiding farcebook & twatter :borg: but, frankly, I have never seen such activity and enthusiasm around any software, let alone audio software, in my life. Massive amounts of third party development, patch and knowledge sharing are going on.

Congrats Andrew :tu:

Might have been already discussed previously in the thread but going to ask regardless as I didn't notice anything about it.

So, I know how to compile for the *dev* version of Rack. Easy stuff.
How do you compile for the *release* version? I see people doing it but I'm not succeeding or getting anywhere close to succeeding.

Thanks for any help

git checkout v0.4.0 in the Rack repo and all the plugin repos.

Perfect :) Thank you very much Andrew

This seems to evolve nicely. I would not mind paying some bucks for a plug-in (AU/VST).

Post

I'm debating right now whether the VST/AU plugins will be open source, but they will certainly be free.

The upcoming commercial modules will definitely be worth the money if you'd like to expand your VCV collection.

I know this is a bit cheeky given the myriad demands on your time Andrew, but how high on your list of priorities is fixing the Audible Instruments modules for the lights changes?

I know I can (and am) use an earlier commit.

Just finished the fix a couple hours ago.

You committed this a few minutes after I last looked. Many thanks. :D

Since there are people who are able to compile this software themselves, isn't there anyone who can make a 32-bit version? Please? :help:

Post

Sorry for to be innocent but why should one compile the software for themselves ? And how to use some third-party modules which are in source code. Do I need to compile those for myself ? I just want to use the Recorder. How to do so?

Thanks
