I thought I had answered this with my previous post. The free version is in everybody's account. This is the same as previous products where you can install either but you would need to authorize the full version serial number in order to have access to its features, gear, etc. Hope that helps.DarkStar wrote:Bump - are they the same software with the only difference being the Serial Number used to Authorize them?Teksonik wrote:So what's the difference between TRacks 5 Custom Shop and TRacks 5 ? Both are 941 Megs. I assume we don't need to install both although they have different serial numbers![]()
And ... 941 MB sounds very big, compared to the 176MB of T-RackS 4 CS.
T-RackS 5 (5.0.1 update, information about free CS version, release date countdown added)

Peter, what is the name and e-mail address of your boss ? I'd be very interested in communicating with him or her. You can PM me the information or if needed I'll find out on my own.

'Twas good to get the elaboration for more clarity about the serial authorization and all, though, anyway. While this is like previous products, there may be a touch of confusion due to having two separate Custom Shop versions (4.10 and 5.0) in the case of T-RackS. So all good in the 'hood.DarkStar wrote:Got it, thank you - I must have missed your previous reply.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:I thought I had answered this with my previous post. Really ? I wonder what all the support forums for other developers here at KVR are for ? Oh that's right some developers actually engage with their customers beyond only hyping their products and sales. I should probably only do business with them going forward.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Also note that no company in their right mind is going to do direct technical support via a third-party forum.
IK can afford to send the salesman here....they can afford to send support just to answer simple questions. It's not rocket science....

Peter, if you need support of a satisfied IK customer and someone who values your involvement in this forum with all the help and attention you give us, let me know and I'd gladly espouse for you.Teksonik wrote:Peter, what is the name and e-mail address of your boss ? All long as the T-RackS Custom Shops are labelled distinctly, it should be OK. There are multiple AmpliTube ones, after all.
OK, now how about: 941 MB sounds very big, compared to the 176MB of T-RackS 4 CS. Is that down completely to the resizeable GUIs? Or something-else?

I wasn't talking or really thinking about those, so good point. I look at those as official company forums for whatever purpose they need to use them just hosted here - but we've got our own official forum so we don't have one here and we have a support system in place that works well to keep track of reported issues rather than in the general areas of a third-party forum. Hope that clarifies my point a bit.

They are, and at this time it surely helps that T-RackS 5 Custom Shop should be at or near the top of the list on the "My Products" page in your IK User Area. Obviously that will change and they appear to be labeled clearly but I'll make sure that makes sense to others and is as clear as possible. Thanks!DarkStar wrote:^^^^Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:While this is like previous products, there may be a touch of confusion due to having two separate Custom Shop versions (4.10 and 5.0) in the case of T-RackS. Edit - not to spitball things in a stream of consciousness way here, but I have noted that the CS and full versions being close to each other on the list for those that pre-ordered may be most of the confusion so there's also that to consider and not just the v4 and v5 CS versions being available concurrently.

I believe that was posted earlier in the thread. This may happen on Windows systems when you choose an alternate install path. While this is being fixed and an update will be available, if you want to try/use T-RackS 5 right away you can install using the default path for now. But it is being worked on. Thank you.J4R1O wrote:Downloaded, installed and...

Sorry if this had already been posted, but I wonder if it makes sense to download the T-Racks 5 custom shop version (which is already in my account) cause I have done preorder over a reseller and still waiting for license (T-Racks 5 Standard).
Can that custom shop version just be licensed to full standard license later on with only serial ? Or do I better wait for license and then download full version when it is in my account ?

Maybe I'm just faster than everyone else? I have everything installed and authorized before most people have been able to download it. Happens with every TR5 plugin I've tested thus far. What your beta testers doin, yo?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:I suggested and SPECIFICALLY noted that there were no other reports of the issue audiosabre was having.
