Absynth is my *go-to* in terms of low CPU usage.
Bitwig's own synths can be stacked into the hundreds and are nice for bread and butter purpose.
Saurus also had a very nice CPU:sound ratio in my book.

I was just playing around with the phonec demo. Pretty low cpu on that for a nice vintage sound.

Yes, I think Phonec (and the ME80 as well) is based on Chris Kerry's older SE code, just taken outside the SE framework.

That is definitely lightweight.braj wrote:Would you consider Synthmaster One low CPU usage? It sips just .8% or so on my 4 year old i7 3770. Compared to some synths I've used, it is light. I just don't know what 'low' means here.
And wow, Sylenth1 is very efficient. Impressive.

At least if you try using it on older dual core CPUs with a lot of voices, yes I can confirm that but that's to be expected on 10 year old hardware.re23071998 wrote:Hive is quite heavy actually
I would say the only thing that's even more resource friendly than Sylenth and has comparable sound quality is Helix.

Audjoo Helix is ridiculously low considering how much it can do
"musician."
