CMI V. I think I'll check out the demo version. The DX7 sounds I heard were pants. FM8 is streets ahead of it. Before I get killed, I'll say imho. :)
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

DX7 V besides being able to proeprly emulate teh real thing includes quite a lot of advanced features with some not available in FM8 like e.g. a filter for each operator (with LPF, BPF, HPF modes). Opposing to the real DX7 and like in the FM matrix in FM8 each operator in DX7 V could do feedback with itself. This is only a part of the advanced features in DX7 V.

Actually, I don't have a dog in this fight because I don't own any of the synths. I was just curious as to which one was the favorite. So as far as I'm concerned, people can bash all 3. Doesn't make any difference to me.

Owned a DX-7 for almost 20 years, and did nothing but use its presets, and those on the three cartridges I had. The V Collection 5 free upgrade gave me the 432 DX-7 presets in Analog Lab. If Arturia doesn't lower the upgrade price to $99 for the move to VC6 for me- I may spring for the upgrade for the DX-7... just to have control of more than the dozen or so controls mapped in Analog Lab.

Can I pick one even if I haven't tried any of them?
A well-behaved signature.

All three are not as good as stuff thats already out there. Def not worth 199. I would even say not worth 99.

Well, I did anyway.

I picked the "Easel" because it sounds like "Esel." (German for "donkey" or "ass")
A well-behaved signature.
