Hi,

Does anyone know of a good pitch follower VST? I want to track guitar (single notes, not chords) and convert to MIDI/CV in real time.

Thank you,

Todd

Thanks codec17, another cool find! I played with the MiGiC demo quite a bit last night. It's got a ways to before it's flawless, but it was good enough that I decided to buy it. I have to be precise in my playing for it to track the best. And this imitone looks good, too. You're right, they're both similar, basic pitch/envelope to MIDI converters. These will only get better through ongoing development.

Expert Sleepers Silent Way has a audio pitch follower that can output CV but not MIDI.

This is for me a big hope for an internal modulator, this would allow for some very cool patches.

Hi Taika-Kim, I tried that a few months ago, it did not track well for me. I may have missed something in setting it up correctly. If you try it, please report back on your successes with it. Thanks!

Well, yes, it's very glitchy in a way, I tried it a few times but never got very good results. I think it needs a really clear monophonic signal to be able to track.

Now what is this, then? It comes up sometimes when I add a device, but it brings up only some random VSTs and the Bitwig's own Chain and FX Layer devices.

Hi Taika-Kim, do you mean the Note Effect devices or Note Detector devices? That's very interesting, would love an explanation, of the Note Detector. I have not seen this in my version (2.2.2)

Note Detector. It only has come up a few times randomly, I'm not sure what it is. This was in 2.2.3 RC 1.

Ah, cool. Thanks Taika-Kim. That's why I haven't seen it yet, since I don't have the new RC.
