They did. I got this yesterday.
I didn't get any, although I've been registered from day one. The reason I got the news is that I happen to be on the Korg forum list regarding the petition for bigger GUIs.

/Joachim
I received no email either. Been registered with them for ages. The only reason i found out about this was because their newer support website's forum informed me of a new post to the "requestin larger GUI" thread that i participated in. A user posted a copy of the news and i went searching for details.

Not counting the new Arp Odyssey I owned every one of the plugins in the Collection except Mono/Poly and I don't qualify for an upgrade discount. I also paid for the 64 bit upgrade.

But I just found this in an old email from 2013:

"We thank you for your patronage of a KORG product. We hope you are enjoying your KORG software!
This is an automatic confirmation message from KORG USER NET:

Your license has successfully been issued.

KORG Legacy Collection

Here is your License Code: XXXXXXXX"

So I should have the collection in my old Korg.net account. I don't see it. I also don't get an upgrade coupon. I'll look into it after the holiday.

What is your idea of a time when it becomes acceptable to complain?

Instant payment of downloadable goods does kind of sensibly lead to expectations of near instant delivery.

boy, I had some proper laugh today!
Dude, he's not a Korg lackey. He's been here for ages and seems to dislike anyone complaining about anything that he doesn't personally agree is worth complaining about. Your ad hominem attacks aren't helping here.

Just did a ping test for 52.193.140.222, the old korguser.net site, 100 % of packages lost from anywhere around the world 8)

And on the korg.shop site I get a failure message from Magento, whatever that is, the host maybe. The shop site doesn't even seem to have a domain name such as .net 8)

Doesn't sound like smart Japanese planning to launch a major new website just before a big holiday without making certain it can stand the onslaught that's bound to follow.
i'm going to introduce some of you to what seems to be a new concept: it's not nationality; it's corporatism. Either the business reflects care and sensibility, or it follows the current trend of pathological capitalism, focusing on getting money now and worrying about the details... maybe never. The division isn't between one nationality or another; it's between consumers and the corporations that have the arrogance to think they can do whatever they want to them without accountability.

Also, you might be surprised how many holidays there are in Japan. It probably doesn't matter what religion the people at Korg Japan are; it only matters what their corporate leadership decides (and probably the web team/IT people are still on call anyway). I wouldn't be surprised at all to find that the web team responsible for this rollout is entirely understaffed and was given this task without much consult with upper management. Korg probably also outsourced some of the functionality to another web company (this Magenta thing), rather than doing it in-house, which is how they do their software development (look up the developers of the iOS apps, which seem to be getting ported to desktop). Korg's corporate culture is not very focused when it comes to their software offerings and that needs to change. This is a long-standing issue. Migrating these two support systems into one is actually a sensible decision. The timing was bad and the technology untested at scale. Typical of most software entities these days, no?

Do germans work 24/7? Where, in Nowhere Land? :hihi:
Once we had clients from Germany come to work with us on a project. At about 3:00 they were all, “OK, well we’re out of here. What are you going to do?” The answer was, “Work on your project so we make the deadline.” They looked at us like we were crazy and left.

Not quite. I just think it's stupid to complain HERE, where noone from KORG is running around. And i think it's similarly stupid to demand a KORG apology on Facebook. And that is not something which i feel exclusively, rather common sense. A complaint here is what it is. A rant, only aimed to talk down the company, and to take influence on other people's decisions. As simple as that.

The insults are rather the icing on the cake, and something which shows the real character (and the one from the guy who's been defending him all along). I won't stop him/them digging his/their own grave here though. :P

Huh, that is exactly the same situation i had.

Try the registration process on the korguser.net site, with that license code, and see if that changes things for you. If it doesn't, definitely contact Korg support to get this straightened out. Don't let too much time go by (meaning, don't wait till the korguser.net site disappears). Good luck! :-)

Wait, so the new Korg ID doesn't include the Korg online shop??? What's the point in this migration if we still need multiple accounts to access all of Korg's online stuff??

"One account – the gateway to all KORG online services
With one single account, you can join and use most KORG web services such as the KORG shop, product registration and more."

This is complete BS. This does not include the support.korguser.net "web service", which is clearly still a different ID. Sigh.

Edit 2: "*Not all KORG web services are supported. Currently KORG ID supports only for purchase of KORG Gadget for Mac and the registration."

No shit. Even this disclaimer is wrong, since they've clearly added Korg [no longer "Legacy"] Collection to this "list" of one thing.

Thanks, that's the first thing I tried. It won't accept the reg code at Korg.net as it asks for an "Unlock Code" which I don't have and I think is generated when you install the software which I can't download because it's not in my account.....and the wheels on the bus go round and round..... :hihi:

I've had the Korg plugins for so long I don't remember exactly which transaction/registration/upgrade is which. I should have the old installer on a hard drive somewhere but I'll leave the scavenger hunt for another day.

I just contacted support but with the holidays I don't expect an answer for quite some time. Not a big deal now as I probably won't buy the Odyssey but in case they release a new plugin in the future that I do want I'd like to be eligible for any discount. :)

id.korg.com site is still broken. Adding the coupon code to my shopping cart loaded a blank page. Trying to get to the site a second time did the same. I presume that my coupon code will now be invalid. Sigh.

Darn. :-/ Well, i hope that Korg customer service corrects the situation for you ASAP after the holidays. They really shouldn't have rolled this out in this state or this time of year.
