Similar experience here until this afternoon. I just checked and the upgrade is back in my cart after "disappearing" yesterday.

Do germans work 24/7? Where, in Nowhere Land? :hihi:
Once we had clients from Germany come to work with us on a project. At about 3:00 they were all, “OK, well we’re out of here. What are you going to do?” The answer was, “Work on your project so we make the deadline.” They looked at us like we were crazy and left.

Yes, but I think there is a strange difference between myth and reality when it comes to Germans. They are actually among the ones working the least within Europe, which contradicts the myth of the industrious German. The Japanese work hundreds of hours more per year than the Germans, but both are nowhere near Mexicans or South Koreans.
Others suffer from negative myths, though, for instance my country, where people work more than in both Japan and Germany, but are often considered lazy by foreigners.

I am resigned to wait till after the holidays. Not just on the website which clearly has issues...

I have now written to three different email addresses for Korg Support (I keep getting handed off). I own the Legacy Collection:Special Edition, and I even have my receipt on it. Yet I have no Upgrade Coupon available to me. I have sent that info off three times.

Korg HAS responded, but only forwarded me to someone else to deal with the issue. If the website were not enough of an issue, this SURELY is one as I have no way to migrate ALL of my instruments (only 3).

Hopefully by the end of this week, some resolution will exist.

Agreed. The only thing I can think of is Korg wanted to get some of that good Christmas money with sales of the Odyssey. Seems like the whole thing was rushed to market before it was tested and fully ready.

The whole new Korg ID site seems to be disjointed as I found myself on my Account page that would not link to "My Dashboard" page.

I'm sure they'll get the kinks worked out and I have the feeling there may be new products beyond the Odyssey since I don't think they would have bothered with a whole new system just for one new plugin. Could be wrong but that's the way it feels.

If the M1 and Wavestation get more comfortable GUIs the hassle of migrating will be worth it as they are pretty unique synths in a sea of Analog emulations..... :)

Are there also problems when you buy anew, i.e. not migrate anything? Am interested in the Wavestation :)

Exactly what happened to me. I sent off support requests only to have them bounce back pointing me somewhere else. Do you mind me asking which address you finally ended up contacting ? I ended up with support at korgusa.com

At least that one didn't bounce back....yet. I have a feeling many users will have the same issue we have so I hope Korg support plans on working overtime next week........

Not sure about issues with buying at the moment but I do highly recommend Wavestation. The GUI is functional here but would be a lot more comfortable to use if re-scaling were allowed. So consider that but it looks like a GUI fix might be coming. Other than Wusikstation I can't think of anything that really covers the same sonic territory.

I suspect there's also a qualitative difference. In the USA, in my opinion, the culture is all focused on doing more with less, in less time. This results in rushing things to market and not supporting customers. While there are much longer work hours, the project start-times and deadlines are seemingly much more rapid, resulting in harder worked employees and worse product. My impression of German work ethic is that things get done when they are ready, not on arbitrary deadlines to satisfy Wall Street.

Yeah, that's antisocial and horrible. i suspect that every case of anyone calling an entire segment of a working population "lazy" is the result of racism and ignorance, both likley being promoted by the privileged upper management (who claim to be worth millions, by claiming their decisions are so risky as to be worth paying them millions... which is just bullshit).

Yes, it would be a nice contrast to Sylenth1's subtractive sounds :) I have heard some nice synth choir sounds from it, not unlike certain Fairlight sounds.

1. shop at korguser.net
2. support at korgapp.zendesk.com
3. product_support at korgusa.com

The first one sent me an auto response that I needed to contact the local Korg distributer in the country where I live. Hmmm...that would be #3.

The second one sent me an auto response that my request is being reviewed by the support staff.

The third one (which I have written to twice) initially auto responded that I would be contacted in 2-3 days. When they contacted me yesterday they gave me the address #2 if the FAQ's didn't answer my question. Then with the second request I received another auto response telling me I would be contacted in 2-3 days.

So my best bet is looking like #2. However, I am not hopeful as they really would not appear to have control over a shop, invoices, etc.

The problem lies with how large and diverse Korg is. With the closing of one shop, it seems like you either got your coupon or not. If not, so sorry, kiss our butts, goodbye, have a nice day.

I will become a pest considering I am a legitimate owner of the Legacy Collection: Special Edition. My goal is to take next Saturday and bomb as many Korg forums as possible till I find someone who can help. er, uh, IF the problem is not solved.

...and don't even get me started on the new shop issues.

Thanks, now I'm really confused. We're not going to get any support are we ? :?

I'll try #2 just to see what happens....... :wheee:

EDIT: Good Lord....Try to sign up at App Help....won't take my e-mail since I'm already using it, but won't take my password. It's like Korg has done exactly the opposite of making everything in one central account. :bang:

Forget it! That‘s a myth from a glorious past. Currently most Germans and especially politicians are looking only for their own advantage and don’t give a s**t for the state of community. Sorry about that!

You know the saying to 'give a shit' means to care or have concern. I give a shit about child poverty

'Don't give a shit' obviously means the opposite and probably what you intended to write. Don't give a shit about the state of community
