Any opinions on DiscoDSP Discovery Pro? Anyone still using it? How does it compare to more recent synths?

I've been interested in trying it out, but I don't see a demo available on their website.

It seems a little pricey, however there is a sale going on through February.

Didn't the dev just up and disappear, without letting any of his customers know and just left them in the dark, closed down the website too if I recall correctly?
I personally wouldn't risk the purchase.

He did but hes returned. He was ill and it was posted on the site, closed due to illness.

I remember the old developer Arguru RIP. Discovery is a very old synth, i'm shocked it is still going.

Yes, I did read about that incident on KVR and saw that he cited an illness.

I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt and I wish him good health in the future. I've never gotten around to trying any DiscoDSP products, but I've always been interested in them.

I'd like to see some updates before I would be really interested in DiscoDSP plugins, partly because they are getting old, partly to see that George is up and running on all cylinders. I used to own Corona, but now have a few synths that replace it. I have never tried Discovery Pro though.

I love the sound, basic features, ease of use, and the default gui is resizable,
and easy on the eyes. It's a great sound compliment to instruments
that may be deeper in synthesis, but might require more effort/knowledge
to achieve the Nord sound.

I thought I was going crazy. I just realized that there is no mention of the demo when I view the mobile version of the website. I see it now on the desktop version.
