Looking for a multi channel EQ or spectrum analyzer.
Basically want to be able to compare the frequency spectra of various instruments (eg. bass and kick together) so I can modify them accordingly.
Which one dyu guys recommend? I am looking into DDMF IIEQ Pro and Sugar Audio Filterizor right now..
Also, how do people manage without one now that the tech is availabe? Why doesn't Pro-Q2 have this option?

Yes. Multiple tracks in one window...soulone82 wrote:The EQ in iZotope´s Neutron makes this easy. But I guess you want to see multiple tracks in just one analyzer, right?

Yes you would see 2 audio sources.
I know it's not trivial to reliable display more signals since these plugin instances would have to communicate with each other. There is no defined order in which plugins on different busses gets processed so it is very likely to see dropouts, non synced audio or you'd introduce massive latency. Sorry.

Blue Cat's FreqAnalyst Multi can show spectra for up to 16 tracks on the same graph. It doesn't do the EQing, though.

Best and most fully featured multi analyser I've found is the Hofa one.
Melda's multi analyser is also very nice and not too pricey. Best to wait for it to cycle around to 50% off on their weekly sale though.
Blue Cat is also pretty good and DMG Dualism is one of my favourites, though not as flexible as the Hofa which can do offline batch analysis as well as save reference curves that include peak, max, average and energy curves of L/R/M & S.
Sir Audio Tools freebie is very decent but only lets you view plots side by side rather than superimposed. It does have a bandpass analyser option though which is nice if you are used to a hardware RTA or RME's digicheck.
I've yet to try Voxengo SPAN pro, but I expect that is top notch as well.
Cheers

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...
