I was fortunate enough to pick up The Drop for a decent discount here on the FS forum. Between that, Filterfreak, and planning on grabbing Goodhertz LoHi later this year, I don’t think I’ll need any other filter plugins.

Thanks for the review on that. I was thinking about picking it up around the next Audio Damage sale.pekbro wrote:Filterstation 2 is a really nice and pretty unique filter. I do find itacYm wrote:thoughts on AD Filterstation 2, anyone?
a bit unfortunate that there is only a single modulation set for
a dual filter configuration, also that the singular LFO's waveforms
are not editable. Although, there is a decent selection of them.
It's got a good range of filter types which sound great.
The FSU section is unique and interesting, saturation with feedback
sounds pretty good. The HACK effect is pretty dramatic, adding a heavy
glitch or mangle type sound that is well served by the subsequent FM
component. I like the sound myself, but in moderation. I suspect many
would find it pretty overbearing. In other words, typical AD destruction.
The IO section is rounded out with basic, serial, parallel and stereo
routing.
Anyway, a nice filter definitely, but not terribly essential imho.

Though I was fortunate enough to pick up The Drop for a nice discount here on the FS forum. Between that, Filterfreak (in the Toys bundle), and picking up Goodhertz LoHi later this year, I don’t think I’ll need any other filter plugins. I want to have a nice range of relatively simple to complex filter plugins.
