Straight sounding transient effects?

All the native compressors and other effects in Reason seem to have latency in dynmics or should I say they sound un-straight in their transients. A bumping sound can be a choice sometimes but otherwise I'm into a straight sound. I might wanna to to get a VST compressor and Maximizer to get there. And well, I'm all into audio tools that deliver the best sound soundwise as well. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!
