Yes, particularly because it's so approachable, you can use experimental IRs in any convo reverb and get pretty similar results, it depends more on the IR than the plugin really. So this is more about usability of interface and rapid browsing and creation of patches.

Same here

Reverberate is great actually, but is too bloated and swollen of features I never use and that simply slow me down in my workflow. Fog is the perfect match for my needs.

I use Reaverb and add more modules too it. Once you learn how to use it you can get alot of variety out of it I often load 2 different impulses and a room and a plate in the same instance along with trim and filter.
Also Best Service Hall Of Fame sounds actually really good.

I’m super, super impressed with Best Service’s new “Halls of Fame 3”. I have the “Complete” collection and I have to admit, it sure does sound good. I don’t own Altiverb nor Slate’s convo verbs, but as a multi-style verb, I feel as though it’s one of the best out there now-a-days. As bonuses, HOF3 is light on CPU and not exorbitantly expensive. The preset system and interface are easy to work with.

For the Bricasti vibe, I don’t think anything comes close to LiquidSonics’ “Seventh Heaven Pro”.

I’m still using Waves IR1, but since upgrading to a new computer I haven’t gotten around to installing their IRs yet. So I’ve been using Logic’s Space Designer lately.

I have always used it, just not as much as the IR1 which has/had a few more options, like independent ER balancing controls. Space Designer doesn’t have this. Plus there is a whole bunch of different places in IR1 not found in Space Designer. The two compliment each other quite well actually.

Just wished Waves got around to updating the UI.

This has pretty unique functions whereby you can use 6 different IRs (one for each band) which can then be applied in different ways depending on which crossover type you use.

Using Level you can simply and smoothly select any of the 6 IRs and mix between them.

And of course this can be modulated.

Or choose one of the other crossover types for exotic sounds.

Using Spectrum or Tonal/Transient crossover types creates some awesome sounds as the different IRs will effect different portions of the audio. You can then get a wide variety of sounds by adjusting the Level Slope, Smoothing, Tone and Spectral resolution parameters.

Huh. There's a thing that I haven't actually tried (but now am going to have to try) --

We should be able to load reverb IRs into any convolution loader, and two that I use and am extremely pleased with are Impulsive for $20 and Torpedo Wall of Sound for about $10. I own both, and haven't really played around with them, except to load guitar cabs and tweak the sound minimally.

The new version of WOS has a 'simulation preset mode' that lets you tweak lots of parameters.

The Torpedo BlendIR should also work, and lets you load up to 8 IRs at once and tweak them. From what I can see, it's free, but isn't really intended for tracking or mixing, more for creating custom IRs and exporting them to another loader.
