I've no idea about VST development, but I thought if anyone knows the answer is you guys here
So, as you probably know Reason displays its own devices and 3rd party rack extensions in a Rack, which is a virtual "cabinet" where you keep your devices and wire them between each other. Since v9.5 Reason also supports VSTs, but in Rack they're only visibla via wrapper that offers some CV routing options to connect rest of the Rack with VST. The problem - for me, at least - is that this wrapper looks the same for every VST, which defeats the purpose of the Rack. I'd prefer to see Serum or Massive next to Reason's own Europa and Grain.
So the question is - is it somehow possible to force VST to render its GUI in specified place and specified size? I understand some VSTs would look weird stretched in Rack (e.g. kiloHearts' SnapIns) or would possibly be to small, but is it even possible from technical point of view at the VST-wrapper level?

No, that is not possible, due to VST plugins requiring their own OS-native windows. This is why Propellerhead sells Rack Extensions, which are designed to have optimal usability inside the Reason rack.
