Any one purchased yet? And opinions?

Haven’t bought it yet, but it looks interesting! The last UVI products I installed were Plate and USQ-1.

How many obscure synths are left to revive? Are they scraping the barrel? Does this bring anything new? (to ITB/VST land - obviously the Voyetra 8 is old).

Well sounds are VERY good, dislike the preset browser, would of preferred it to be intergrated into the gui rather then it being a seperate sub menu

Here's some from the top of my head...

Gleeman Pentaphonic (30 regular ones, 20 clear ones, semitransparent plexiglass case)
Con Brio ADS 200 (only 2 made)
And probably the silver unicorn: PPG Realizer (looks like only 2 remain, one is in Steinberg offices, the other somewhere in USA, Big City Music says somebody from VSE)
Waldorf Wave (less than 400 of those out there)
Yamaha GX-1
Yamaha FVX-1

EDIT: Here's 5 more: https://audiohertz.com/2018/08/06/5-of- ... ever-made/

Well Fizmo is not exactly that rare. Plus UVI did it already. :P

Oh. Voyetra 8....

I really hope the demos suck. I should not buy more synths.

I just don't like two things in this instrument:
- based on samples (UVI should take steps towards their countrymen in the new line of their products)
- the "dual-sound/mix" logic, its a bit cheap and confusing.
UVI has implemented this in some other of their latest products as well, such as the String Machine 2. If you have sample-based instrument, I like better one sound source at the time, with the versatile tweaking/mic/fx possibilities. Mixing two different sounds is, as said, a bit cheap solution to me.

Note: I own about 9 UVI products, their overall quality is good, e. g. like the Augmented Piano and Retro Organs very much. But some of their implementations are just a bit plastic and cheap.

OK. In your opinion. Which of these are worth resurrecting in the UVI format?

Post

Would love to see the Gleeman Pentaphonic and GX-1. Con Brio is probably never happening. :D

Luckily the demos didn't do much for me. Phew.

Impressive cap collection on display!

It doesn't sound bad but it doesn't sound in any way special to my ears either. Am I missing something?
