Hi,

I just put out an open beta win32 vst, called Filter 8050D. It's a multimode ladder filter that will be free in the long run. Feel free to give it a spin, and let me know what you think. :tu:

You can grab a copy https://www.soundsystembrabant.com/8050d/,

I do, this was laying around for over two years.. Have to port some UI libs to Juce first. So it may take a while to get there.

Ait, I did a revision. The older version had a bit of a scramble.. This one should be way better sounding. Not so scary like Synthmakers ghost

Hohoho, I had some time to spare so I did another UI for it.. Still needs some work off making a tailor series for the frequency controll, and maybe some bits like better diode emulations. After this the beta will be optimized and closed.

Some technical sidenotes, the filter is undersampled to have a clean phase response. If you want more top end you'd have to use a higher sample rate.

As always have some bugs or feature requests, be shure to give it a voice and I will likely fix em for you.

Not all for updating in quick succession, But this one had to happen. Added a little ± button so 3rd order doesn't croak in all modes. "So.. it's updated!"

It could be on an ASIC?

Had a quick hack of the plugin, Made some changes to the internal filter structure to give it some more air. Now the Top knob determines the balance between Air and Tightness, so it's not strung too tight anymore. Also made some more changes like tighter bandpass filters and another noise generator.

It's still a fat and heavy SOB "even when optimized further", but at least it's a sound increase again!

At v3 now,
