Well, seems like the Loyalty program needs a little bug fixing. Although I’ve claimed two instruments, without an active subscription I can’t install the Roland Cloud Manager unless I have it previously downloaded. I tried installing the older downloaded version but it won’t let me update and won’t let me install any of my claimed instruments.

Why didn't you download the latest version?

They hide the link unless you have an active subscription, or are on the trial. So you have to reregister with a temporary email address to download the cloud manager. Silly...

So, how are people who cancel their subscription after getting the instruments they want supposed to do? :nutter:

They’ll presumably still have the cloud manager software installed.

Did you first log in into your Roland Cloud account and the try to download Cloud Manager or did you try without a login?
For using the 2 "free" insztruments you still need to keep your account.

My subscription times out in 2 weeks so currently i could not see if there is a kind of bug with this or not (when being logged in into my account).

I did some digging through the manuals of Supreme Dance and Platinum Trax and I'm definitely happy that it's true after all: theres an assortment of patches pulled from Platinum Trax. I wouldn't be surprised if not everything was onboard, like how SRX keyboards was oddly lacking in the basses, but it still looks like a pretty comprehensive "dance" card :D.

Not much left on my wish list! just the JD800 (particularly to run the Keyboard waveforms which contain the popular Vintage Synth stuff and these new dance ones) and the JX8P/10P/MKS70. I'm curious about the V Synth, but it's more a curiosity than anything.

I still have my account. I logged in to claim my 2 instruments. But since I’d uninstalled all Roland Cloud software I needed to install the cloud manager again. Usually this is something you download from the website while logged in, but if you don’t have an active subscription, it doesn’t let you download it.

Having Roland Cloud Manager installed on your computer, having access to the email address for the Roland Cloud account, and internet access are all considered part of maintaining an "active membership".

Customers who have discontinued their paid subscription and removed Roland Cloud Manager can contact Roland Cloud support to download the current version of Roland Cloud Manager.

The tricky thing about the Cloud is that there's no way of knowing if something you're looking for will come out and if it's worth it just to wait xD. Now I'm gassing for the V-Synth, but (especially with Roland not making any drivers for Windows 10) it might be better just to hold off until it hits the Cloud. Of course, at the current pacing, it could be a looong wait

Find that very strange that after releasing both rather excellent 808 and 909 there is still no sign of 303 with its dedicated sequencing engine..? Common Roland, release it now please...

I'm hoping for the JD800 as much as the next guy! it's the crown jewel I'm waiting on more than anything else. I think the likelihood is very high considering the amount of demand for it and that they've already made the Anthology 1993. The previous Anthology series instruments, afaik, have all had their synths released as Legendary plugins in the Cloud. So it's only a matter of time before the JD is released as well :D.

In general, I do agree that the general rate in which synths come out is very slow. I know they can only do so much and they aren't wizards, especially when everyone is asking for almost everything in their legacy catalog and everyone has different wishes. Hopefully, if nothing else, they can increase the speed in which stuff comes out so some folk don't have too wait for very long before their dream synth is released.
