Hey,
as the subject, do you know any VST or rack units like the KORG M1 and Wavestation? I got a FM8 as well, I like these kind of sounds.
I know Roland D-50, but unfortunately it's not possible to buy separately from the Cloud.
If you have some suggestions, please write it down
update: I already own M1 and WAVESTATION vst

The M1 and Wavestation are quite different synths... But for sample/ROMpler kind of sounds I use M1, WusikStation 9 and Xpand!2. I also have Digital Synsations 1 from UVI which is pretty good but doesn't have a huge number of presets.

Just curious, why not Korg Legacy plugins themselves? Any issue with them?

Yeah, there are literally emulations of those synths done by the company who originally made them. They’re really good.

The D-50 is possible to get independant from the cloud, just needs one year of subscription, which makes it comparatively expensive...rnava wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 1:36 pm Hey,

The Korg collection does cover M1 and Wavestation perfectly - No need to search further...

This rack unit sounds like the M1: https://encyclotronic.com/synthesizers/korg/m1r-r109/

OP, I would suggest you the Roland Cloud JV-1080, the SRX plugins and the D-50. I know RC takes some flake here but at least you can try 30 days for free to get an idea.

Siegfried Kullmann's SQ8L might interest you (it's freeware) for some vintage sounds:

Otherwise, I suggest looking into Togu Audio Line TAL-Sampler, and use the various samples in the sample pack that comes with it, filled with various classic sounds.
