really you just need a sine wave going up in pitch and fast decaying volume envelope, maybe add some reverb

I used epicverb for the reverb (free) and boosted the highs greatly on the mixer channel to make it sound very bright (not just the reverb but the dry and wet)

Thanks. I suspect I'll need to do this to fit it in the mix anyway as the sound inherently has quite a bit of mids.
