Comb Filter?

I use Melda the most and zebra as a close second. I’d like to hear an example of the “tearing” sound you are having trouble finding outside of etch.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Only thing I've actually tried til now was the M one I simply didn't enjoy using.
I don't have Zebra and it seems the KHearts one doesn't do it, at least on paper it is missing the rez that Etch adds.
So not really found anything concrete.
I'm too lazy to post an audio clip but I was just now messing around with Etch. The sound is a bit phasery or flangey but in a comby way, sweeping through the frequencies with hi rez. Kind of a jet taking off type of filter, gets used in DnB over a Reese bass, for example. Showing my age and lack of originality there.

Is this a comb filter (wide upper bass around the 1:00 mark)?

Like you can see from video this sound is a combination of an automation of a comb filter, oscillator 1 phase modulation and wavetable position of two oscillators where only Massive have these specific wavetables. My advice: use Massive as it's awesome synth for sound design

I can't figure out how to control the Mcomb comb filter frequency via midi. Does anyone know?

I own Massive and could follow the tutorial if I wanted to make that sound.pixel85 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:25 pm Like you can see from video this sound is a combination of an automation of a comb filter, oscillator 1 phase modulation and wavetable position of two oscillators where only Massive have these specific wavetables. Instead, what I want is an external comb filter, as I state in the OP.

Push the midi button on the bottom right and then when the screen is open click the controller tab. Next make sure midi is going from your DAW into MComb. If it is, whatever controller you touch should automatically be assigned. Next click/move the parameter in MComb of whatever you want to modulate to set it as the target. You can also do this manually and adjust things like the range, etc. I hope that helps.dusted william wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:51 pm I can't figure out how to control the Mcomb comb filter frequency via midi.
