what synths are there that emulate oberheim synths?

Nope, he's working on it. I think OB-X.

I would love an OB-X emulation, especially with the high quality Synapse Audio is known for.

Indeed. But then I open OP-X Pro II and it still sounds quite great and with low CPU...

Yes that is probably the synth plugin I have used the most and it sounds great, but I wish just wish they could update the display so it’s easier to use. I like that there are different sizes available now, but it can be a little confusing at times if I forget where that certain function is tucked away, etc.

They did do a GUI update, it's a lot better now. Especially the GUI variant without keyboard, so much bigger.Examigan wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 4:14 pm Yes that is probably the synth plugin I have used the most and it sounds great, but I wish just wish they could update the display so it’s easier to use. Show me anywhere on any of those pages that this is 64 bit? I know I'm blind but I'm not THAT blind.layzer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 4:44 pmhttps://www.kvraudio.com/product/sam-by-wok

Most people probably think of the OB synths when Oberheim is mentioned, but the Matrix 12V sounds great and it's insanely flexible and deep. One of these days I'm going to dig in and learn the ins and out of this VST, but that's going to take a while.fmr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 2:20 pm Arturia Matrix-12 V: https://www.arturia.com/products/analog ... v/overview

I tried to get excited about OP-X PRO II because I'd love to have a great sounding Oberheim plugin in my setup.... but, and I know I'm not alone here, to me it just sounds like Any Old VST Plugin. I don't get the raves about it, at all. Even aside from the bizarre UI choices (some of which were fixed last year or whenever that was) it still just sounds....plain. A bit thin, if I'm forced to put useless adjectives into play. If I close my eyes, it could be Sylenth, hell it could be Predator. It doesn't stand out at all as some magical analog Oberheim emulation, it sounds like a vanilla VST synth.
ok, probably have made my point
I very much look forward to hearing what Synapse can do!

Yeah I didn't realize until last week that there was a rack edition without the keyboard. Allows you to use a bigger GUI than you would have with the regular one:EvilDragon wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 4:40 pmThey did do a GUI update, it's a lot better now.
