take your shoe off give it to your gf/wife so she can kick youself in the arse for buying this on the release date. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
I know right! Ha!

I am curious what they will do about those that paid extra for the USB though. Maybe it will all work perfectly!

I should have learned after ST3... :hihi:

On Windows Sampletank 4 when it asks for fonts isn't very specific. As a result if you have an installed font that is close enough to what they are asking for, you get it. Even if it's something crazy and unusable. I had a script font installed and Sampletank 4 kept using it for the drop down menu. I tracked it down by running SysInternal's ProcMon and filtering for Sampletank 4 (using the standalone) and files that end in .ttf. Once I knew what font was getting used, I just removed it and solved the problem.

I just want to even be able to open the plug-in.. that's almost the worst part. I wouldn't care about unorganized or disorganized sound placement or structure if I knew I was at least going to be able to open the plug-in in a DAW. Now I have half of the content downloaded and refuse to install it for a plug-in that won't open. :(

which column did you filter on? I'm not getting any ttf listed if I use path or process name

Clearly IK didn't learn not to release an imature beta-level software

Fortunately I did learn not to jump on the wagon

Also, it took me about 5 hours to download just the 4 drum packages, and they are all corrupt. I might need 180 days just to download 3 or 4 of the libraries successfully.

In my case it was a freeware font used for an After Effects template so I didn't care about killing it. In this case there may not be much you can do about it. I guess you could report it to IK. They will ignore it (after blaming you for the problem) and not release a fix for it. Ever. But at least you will have done all that you could do.

I know how frustrating it can be if downloads are creeping along, having had to deal with this often. Downloads went quick here -- IK's bandwidth in my area is (fortunately) fast. Took about 3 hours to download all the ST4 Max sound files. Bit of a pain, but no corruption. After another 3 hours installing (on OS X High Sierra) - it's working. No install issues with the exception of the Philharmonik CE archives. Followed the advice in this thread, and ran via the command prompt - worked ok. Install really takes care and focus, to avoid making mistakes. IMHO, the GUI is a step forward and just starting to explore the sound library and new features. I did keep ST 3 around, for legacy imported products that ST 4 doesn't handle as well.

The GUI will be a step forward if it will use a proper font :hihi:

I don't have an issue with the methodology really. It would just be easier if it had something like an auto download function that would just keep downloading the next library based on a bandwidth limit. I haven't had a problem with Kinetic, VSL or Heavyocity for example. I have slow internet, but it's usually solid. So, they take forever but 99% of the time I'm good. IK and VirHarmonic are always a nightmare for me for whatever reason. Supposedly VirHarmonic is going to a new system ... we'll see. Syntronic took me around 2 weeks to finally get everything due to overnight failures etc..

By the way, is there no way to use the arrow keys to navigate the browser ... I don't use a mouse whenever possible. It seems this is mouse intensive to use the browser.
