I wish I did! Hey, that's me attempting the humor of the young, there. I think it is now funny to bag on yourself as if you're worthless and point it out as much as possible.. But it isn't really feeling great to do so, so I'll stick to my "dad joke" and otherwise corny humor - however bristly it is at times. Fogeys should not attempt meme culture humor. Take the first sentence of this post as an example of why that is true.

All good, I like you and people here too, I think I had quite a few thousand posts on KVR before I was with IK (and I've been here almost 10 years now) so the line blurrrrs a bit sometimes. It should be for the better though, so I really do not mean to project or get bristly and apologize if and when I do.

Has anyone been able to use sampletank 4 in flstudio 20 on windows 10 without crashes ?

That is not normal behavior, the testing team would have tested in FL Studio. Please report this to IK Support who will attempt to recreate based on your system details as closely as possible and will assist you to get your issue resolved.

keywords being 'would have' i have stated this more than once. none of my plugins work (crashes) only standalone and it crashes when changing presets. i have ALSO listed the DAWs i use and the OS i use so this does not seem to be an isolated case on FL Studio. i am pretty sure i have seen others elsewhere on the net stating it is crashing FL Studio for them too (as well as other DAWs)

funny thing is.. FL Studio is not recognizing VST3 but it does see VST2 version while Studio One sees the VST3 version but not the VST2. as for Pro Tools crashing with ST4... i have yet to get it through a plugin scan since installing ST4

i will contact support if it continues after a few fixes but with the max influx of problems reported everywhere i refrain from piling on support... i am sure they have their hands full at this time. cheers

Wow, I guess it should have taken less time to get every phrased picked apart. I said would have meaning during the process of course they would have tested on FL Studio.

Just so nobody can pick it apart further: IK TESTING DID INDEED TEST ON FL STUDIO. Also, I'll add that they have not been able to recreate the reported (I believe two) issues where ST4 was crashing FL Studio, even using near-identical setups to the users who reported it but are gathering more information to make sure these users get up and running. I hope that is all crystal clear now.

Also see my list. That doesn't exactly look like an "influx" of any kind. Especially when half were reported by only a few (in some cases ONE) user.

I did submit a ticket about not even being able to open the plugin in flstudio without a crash on windows 10 over the weekend. Not heard back yet. That's why I'm checking in here.. to see who else is experiencing the same and if they found an answer.

I just logged out and back into my account on the computer I'm using to download and I don't see any (b) listings for any of the libraries.

The "b" isn't visible, but if you select the file and start the download the filename has the _b at the end.

Also, note that the font issue you mentioned is unfortunately a bug in the framework that has been updated as it was filed by other devs before we ran into it. So the solution for the time being will need to be a workaround but we'll implement the full fix when the framework devs provide the fix. Thanks!

hmm.. so there' no way to tell if one of the libraries needs to be replaced without clicking through them and seeing what the name is before I save?

... FYI, my take on the resizing issue is this:

The resizing handle is located on the bottom right corner (not left). And I can resize the ST4 VST2 in Ableton Live 10, so I am not clear that I fully understand the unsupported comment.

Peter, I am also anxiously awaiting clarification on resizing in VST2. (1) If it is working in Live 10, how can it be "unsupported"? (2) Are there plans to change "unsupported" to "supported" in a future update?

Everyone who has ST4 working, please comment on VST2 resizing in hosts other that Live. Reason is probably the most important.

I'd love to receive a reply to MY ticket. Since apparently there are so few people having trouble with flstudio 20 and st4 I would think they would have jumped on it right away to at least get more details from my end. I have added a couple additional comments to the ticket with info for when they do get to it.

just relax GJK ... they are probably pretty busy and do everything in turn. that is why i didn't want to 'jump on the pile' so to speak lol i trust it will all get sorted eventually. it is just gonna take time. i know it sucks... i want to use it too but what is... is. myself i try to not let things i have no control over control me (emotions) but we all backslide from time to time. i am even guilty of 'speculations' lol cheers

Edit - Four corrupted sound download ZIP/DMG files [replaced this morning, notated with "b" for users who already had downloaded the previous versions)

Not see any b notation here (?) Could you please specify the ones you mean?

Please refresh your User Area as any sounds that were updated will have a "b" at the end. Other users have verified they see them (it is four, I edited the initial post to reflect this). If you don't have MAX you may not be seeing these files as they may not pertain to your particular version.

These would be two woodwinds and two strings sound library files.

I've refreshed the page, logged out logged back in, refreshed again and still I can't see any b versions. However, I have kicked off the download of the 4 string parts, and the 2 woodwind parts again to see if that fixes it.

Yes I have the Max version.

To save folks time, on Mac OS X, there are two content files with the suffix "_b" to re-download. These are:

ST4_Woodwinds_Samples_Part1_b.dmg
ST4_Woodwinds_Samples_Part2_b.dmg

Went through and started each download for all the MAX content files. These were the only two that I found that were updated.

Indeed ! I'm not angry or anything, just confused because my system meets the recommended specs and I did a strong clear out of my HD to make room for what looks like my new bread and butter. Godspeed IKsupport. In the end I am a bit paranoid about not being able to get this resolved for some reason.... time will tell. Cheers to you too !

Sorry that wasn't clear either, that's what I get for using some of the ol' copypasta without adding detail and that ol' Peter flair - what is unsupported is dragging from anywhere but the bottom - edit - right corner.
