If you buy ST4 do you get ST3 legacy content?

Is there an ETA for those of us who ordered ST4 Max on USB?

I'll waiting for ST4 standard USB. As of the end of Tuesday feb 26, my order has not shipped.
I'm assuming this is a good thing.

Peter; Have the USB drives been loaded yet?
If not, hopefully IK is waiting to load the new fixes in the USB drives.
It this the case?

If anyone receives their USB drive, please share with us your experience.

Question. I'm reinstalling ST4 Max. I've downloaded the ST4 material. Everything seems fine. Now I want to reinstall the ST3 stuff but it's defaulting to the location that caused all the problems before. What is the usual location for ST3 material on an internal HD and how do I set that path?

USB drives will have three things: SampleTank 4 installer, sound libraries installer, and the content for the sound libraries installer to use. The issues with any sound library downloads will not be a factor. The latest version of the application installer will be present but if we do release any subsequent application updates that would be a small download in that case.

SampleTank 4 VST and VST3 crash MIDI Guitar 2.2.1 on loading. However, AU seems to work.

Also ST4 is not resizable in VST/VST3/AU at all (even in Live 10) except being able to go fullscreen in standalone.

I'm running MacOS 10.14.3 on a mid-2015 MacBook Pro Retina. Looking forward to some fixes. I had high hopes for ST4.

I have the exact same issue. I don’t think the multiple library paths are working - at least for you and me.

Thanks for the info. I expect iK will get it sorted out soon. I'm on a Mac, so this seems to be a global problem. I figure I could just copy the ST3 content over to my ST4 drive, but I don't really want to do that.

I also have opened a sticky on our forum but will do my best to update that list here (see above, I did post is here first if that means something ) at https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/vi ... 12&t=20719

Hey Peter, I have been having a library path issue similar to what these users have been discussing. I haven't reported it to support yet, because I may have found a workaround. The problem resulted in the error message that the content could not be located in the specified path, etc.

My workaround is to go into settings and click "Remove" for both paths. Then add "SampleTank 3" first, followed by "SampleTank 4". Then close and allow the database to rebuild.

And then "voila", everything just works!

The workaround worked here too! Thanks!
It's still a bug though so I'll leave my iK ticket open.

Everything is working here, I think. I do have some the issues other's have addressed. Waiting for 4.0.2 and subsquent bug fixes.

Are you using the resizing handle in the lower right hand corner (if I recall correctly from other IKM products, it looks like a triangle with three or four diagonal lines that are parallel to each other)? Or are you trying to resize in some other way?

Also, is your display set for a font size other than the default 100%

Thanks in advance! I'm asking because, as I have said at least twice before, the only way I can find out for myself whether resizing will work on my system is to pay for it. If it doesn't work, the money is wasted.

Please report the MIDI Guitar issue as I honestly can't say that was specifically tested but SampleTank 4 should work where the proper plugin formats are supported.

If your resolution is below 1080p you may not be able to resize (that's what the portion of my status list refers to about being large enough to resize) and also if you have custom scaling set up you could also run into issues as noted. Support can also walk you through that if you have any questions/concerns.

There is an update being posted very soon but I'm not sure this issue tracks precisely with what I list on my status and what's being updated there (there are also sounds updaters coming along with it). So I'm not sure this is a global issue that requires an update or something may have happened during the initial install to cause this for some, etc. Please do note that the SampleTank 4 and SampleTank 3 install paths should be separate and we've seen some who have attempted to install the SampleTank 4 sounds into the SampleTank 3 path or vice versa which definitely will cause some issues.

Well that's great! Sampletank 3 DOES have strings; I feel much better now and don't mind waiting for the USB.
