SampleTank 4 on the way

I was able to do one installation for all the sounds only (USB version). Take a look at the file structure and manually move the sounds you want elsewhere.

It asks where you want to put the sampletank 3 content and sampletank 4 content.dmbaer wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2019 7:10 pm Question for those who have already installed:
In the manual, I was delighted to see that multiple directories could be specified for ST4 content. I have not as yet downloaded any of the sounds. Does the download or the sounds installer allow you to direct various types of content to different places. For example, could I install the synth sounds on an SSD and the orchestra sounds on an HDD?
One tip: make sure you create a FOLDER where you want the content to go;
for example Drive G G/sampletank .
If you don't they will be all over the place in that particular drive.
So, I created in drive G a folder called SAMPLETANK SOUNDS and pointed the installer there.

Forgive me if this is obvious somewhere and I just can't find it. Is there a printable list of all the file names in a complete download of ST4 MAX? It's in the drop-down menu on my products page, but I haven't figured out how to copy and paste from there into a text file or spreadsheet.
I know that there's a complete patch list but that doesn't help much for this purpose. It would be really helpful if I had a paper list where I could check files off one-by-one as I install them -- or, in the case of ST3 sounds, verify that they are already installed.

I didn't try that, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Not aware of any requirement for all ST4 content to be in the same path.
I put everything new in a new path I created for ST4, and then added my existing ST3 path, and everything works.

It seems that those you ordered the first (boxed USB version) are being processed the last. That's really a bad way to treat loyal customers!

I hope it's for a good reason, like they saw the endless amount of bugs people who purchased the download version are dealing with and they decided to fix it for their usb versionflonky wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2019 10:13 pm It seems that those you ordered the first (boxed USB version) are being processed the last. I just made a screen shot of the choices. It isn't the best solution but it worked.rrichard63 wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2019 8:19 pm Forgive me if this is obvious somewhere and I just can't find it. Still having crashes, also with VST 2 version. It seems to run a bit better than the VST 3 version though.
Moreover, while playing with the sounds, I noticed that a lot of the Sampletank 2.5 strings sounds that came with Sampletank 4 as part of the Sampletank 3 sounds (included on the USB stick) are not played back correctly. In Sampletank 3 they all work.

FYI FWIW - I ordered late December. My Orders on IK's website shows it shipped via Fed Ex 2/28/19 and has a Fed Ex tracking number. Fed Ex has an expected deliver date of Wed. 3/6, though Fed Ex tracking says only "LABEL CREATED - Shipment information sent to FedEx" meaning that the package hasn’t been picked up yet by Fed Ex. Assuming that happens tomorrow Monday 3/4, and assuming the expected delivery date Fed Ex has of Weds. 3/6, that means IK is sending via Fed Ex 2d day.

Some of my ST2 Imported instruments are not loading correctly - upper range is choppy and distorted. They play fine in ST3. Wonder what the fix will be for this.Talvin wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2019 11:45 pm Still having crashes, also with VST 2 version. It seems to run a bit better than the VST 3 version though.

And anybody with specific non-global issues or or anything straggling that needs attention are being helped directly. Not exactly endless.[FIXED Sound Library Updaters w/ 4.0.2] Files that may cause "install aborted" error for some Mac users:
- [FIXED] Two corrupted sound download ZIP/DMG files [Back to two, as there were two corrupted - Stings Parts 3&4 on Windows (FIXED) - but the other two were part of the "Install Aborted" Mac issue below so see that for more information pertaining to the Woodwinds 1&2 files]
- [FIXED 4.0.2] Triple listing of certain instruments
- [FIXED 4.0.2] Imported/Legacy instruments' location [4.0.2 offers new icons for SampleTank 3/legacy and SampleTank 4 imports separately for user friendly display]
- [FIXED 4.0.2] Odd fonts issue in Windows
- [FIXED] Resizing issues [Must be done via handle on bottom right corner, and also must have a display size that will support resizing larger, note that custom scaling settings may affect resizing] *Note enhancements to resizing experience slated for future update.

This is not the case. Sorry to hear that you haven't received yours yet, if you send your order number I can have someone look into it.flonky wrote: Sun Mar 03, 2019 10:13 pm It seems that those you ordered the first (boxed USB version) are being processed the last.
