I got the same email.

My FedEx tracking number said it was going to be here tomorrow March 6th, but then I also got an email update from FedEx saying it's not going to be here until Monday. March 11th now...

can’t you download it from your user area?

Cannot register it to user area until code arrives with USB.

I'm just beginning to lose my patience. I paid for the product months ago and no response from my support ticket for four days now. Unusable. A giant padlock on the new content. Screw the early adopters.

Peter,

I'm sorry, but I think some official explanation is required on why us USB purchasers are still waiting for shipping and have had zero communication from IKM. An email apology at least, although compensation in gear credits is more likely required to 'put this right'

Whoever asked about Studio One with ST4...I have ST4 Standard and it's working fine here with Studio One Pro 4 (and Cakewalk by Bandlab incidentally). IKM resolved my issue (ST4 has padlock after authorizing) within a day so I am now working my way through all the new sounds and liking what I have heard so far. Only issue I have is a missing patch under Arpeggio - "80s and 90s" which gives the following error :

"Instrument ST4 Error. Cannot locate Tank at path 'S:/IK Multimedia/SampleTank 4/Samples/SampleTank 4/Synths/Saw Down 2-Osc+Sine Sub Bass Mix/Saw Down 2-Osc+Sine Sub Bass Mix.pak'."

I cannot find that file within my ST4 instruments folder or within the synths zip files. I have raised a ticket.

i've had dropouts on my regular settings with a single instance of ST4, where with ST3 i was able to run it with a lot of instances and lots of other stuff loaded as well without issues. so i'm guessing ST4 CPU usage is (currently) far higher than SampleTank 3. i haven't actually measured it though.
Yes - I agree. Increasing buffers helps, which is okay for mixing, but I had REAPER reporting 23ms with buffers on 1024 @ 480000khz with a single instance and 6 instruments running and loaded. But that is with 20-30 high quality effects running as we’ll, which I might not normally be using.

However, I have noticed that I can get way more instruments running in ST3 with each in its own instance, rather than loading them all up in a single instance. Counter intuitive, but that is my experience. Haven’t tried this in ST4 yet.

I had a total of 1 crash, and it’s hard to pin that on ST4, working with it for hours and hours. The crash was in raw - no crashes at all in standalone.

Working with Windows 10, 16gb Ram and a gen 6 i7. I think the reality is that this is the new minimum spec when working with the more advanced tools we have today. ( oh and an ssd - I would not want to load today’s massive samples from IK, NI or others with an HD - who has time for that!)

I love the workflow and the sound quality is top notch. Worth the trade offs for me. Advancement comes at a price.

The interesting thing is that I’m not seeing super higher cpu consumption, More like increased latency as the instrument count goes up.

On the CPU topic I just wanted to forward this repport from my own thread:
Dmitry Petrenko wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2019 8:27 am I will add one more fat minus of Sampletank in 2019 - unfortunately I discovered that, like ST3, it only involves one processor core. There is no multithreading!
I refused because of this reason from Falcon, which with one or two patches of sufficient complexity can make any modern computer surrender.
Don't know if ST4 is speced to support multicore, (like Halion is), I only know that ST3 did consume far more CPU than what I found reasonable, like the code was poorly written, and I can see that for Dmitry multicore is not working IRL on ST4, no matter what is claimed, or not claimed, officially

Nobody else has audio dropouts with Sonar or Cakewalk by Bandlab ??
Always dropout when loading C7 grand (they're very big)!!
Try loading C7 grand in Sonar or CbB ???

Ahh - this explains why I get more mileage out of ST3 by using multiple instances!

Just tried it and I get the same immediately after loading the C7 Grand Piano on either VST2 or VST3 version. After clicking on the engine run/stop button it then plays fine without any dropouts.

Same here. I got a mail from the support saying they would start shipping now in order of incoming orders.
But that's a lie, because from this thread I know that some people got their tracking number and they ordered long after me (13.12.2018!!!)
Mac Studio M2 Ultra, Sonoma, Logic X, Orion 32+, mioXL, V-Synth XT, JD-990, MC-909, OB-X8, NINA, KK61 mkII

I'm banking on IK understanding how important this release is for them and that in a month or two we will start seeing releases with performance improvements, as well. I do understand, though, that there is a bloody lot of processing going on when leaving the default effects chain on for most of the patches.

I don't understand how a plugin this big from a bigger (not huge!) company could be released like this. They had time to test as or push back the release date, especially considering how long ago they were taking preorders. I hate knocking it but I cannot figure it out. Modo Bass is so good and Amplitube has its perks. I have a bit of but do not use the T-Racks stuff much. With the disappointment after the ST3 release, I really wanted this release to be the one that puts there reputation back to where it should be but I am not sure it is...I don't know as I haven't received my USB yet.

Also, I have wondered if they are planning anything for folks who ordered and paid extra for shipping a USB that took an extra two and a half weeks to leave Florida from the release date.
