We have been transparent about the reported issues that required global fixes. It turns out that the list was comprised of five issues that were specific to the SampleTank 4 application/plugin and the others were downloading/installation-related.
I do not feel that this was unprofessional in any way to point this out, and I have done my best to keep people here fully aware of these issues (all have been fixed and I have added the additional issue that is already fixed in the 4.0.3 update that is coming) and have posted it on a [url=https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/vi ... 0719sticky on the IK Forum so people can keep track directly as needed.
People are reporting their issues as you point out, and IK Support are verifying and reporting those that are global to the developers (as you can see, they are taking quick action on those) and assisting people directly who are experiencing issues that are unique to them in their setup.
Note that IK is well-aware that this is the first time IK has released a product this large, and we realize that our delivery system can be improved - we are indeed working on that with gusto based on the vast majority of the reported issues being related to download/installation. Until we have a better solution, the current system works (all downloads have been working very well for a while now as the team did jump on any problematic files as quickly as possible). I acknowledge that the current delivery system requires a little patience, and we are most definitely aware of this and intend to make the appropriate improvements to that system for such large amounts of content in the future.

Arpegiator, Keep latched note engaged when locked and switching sounds. As is now, when locked and switch sounds notes need to be retriggered.

When come to think of if you are downloading even 100 gb and have to find storage for that is quite discouraging, because aside spending money on the plugin you also have to shed some amount for a HDD/SSD.
Peter why you dont do a solution like other devs do? Native instruments, Waves...

We offer the USB version for those that do not have the bandwidth/etc to do so easily at this time, and as stated above will improve the download/install process for large content releases (noting there that this is our largest ever and we've learned from it).Elektronisch wrote: Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:48 pm When come to think of if you are downloading even 100 gb and have to find storage for that is quite discouraging, because aside spending money on the plugin you also have to shed some amount for a HDD/SSD.

Thats not a solution in 2019. Its not about the bandwidth, its about storing the content backup.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:53 pmWe offer the USB version for those that do not have the bandwidth/etc to do so easily at this time, and as stated above will improve the download/install process for large content releases (noting there that this is our largest ever and we've learned from it).Elektronisch wrote: Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:48 pm When come to think of if you are downloading even 100 gb and have to find storage for that is quite discouraging, because aside spending money on the plugin you also have to shed some amount for a HDD/SSD.

Native Access, no time limit, download whenever you want as many times as you want - thats a solution.

I didn't say it was a full solution (note the "at this time") and again I've mentioned we're working on the download/install process going forward based on this. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear.Elektronisch wrote: Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:56 pmThats not a solution in 2019. Indeed! If there wasn't discussion about this and how to avoid issues and improve things like this going forward based on past/current experiences I'd be making sure there was.

Note that there was another global issue added after I checked again, but I do not see it reported here. Still thought it would be of interest (and is added to the SampleTank 4 Status thread):
Added March 7 2019: Automation Defaults not Reflected in DAW [will be fixed in 4.0.3]

FYI, The Phraser has only one new section in ST4, "Acoustic Drums". All of the ST3 phrases are still fully functional, and we may get additional ST4 phrases in the future, according to support.

You offer a USB version but you don't send it to those who bought it!Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Thu Mar 07, 2019 7:53 pm We offer the USB version for those that do not have the bandwidth/etc to do so easily at this time, and as stated above will improve the download/install process for large content releases (noting there that this is our largest ever and we've learned from it).

Really liking Sampletank 4, but very very long install process, had a few crashes, but maybe thinks it has something do with doing the install at the same time as using the plugin. Otherwise, it runs great with or without multis on Reaper.
wish I had Jordan Rudess Multi patches from NAMM 2019 now.

They have indeed been shipping out steadily so please let me know if your status in My Orders is unchanged, and your order number, via PM and I'll be happy to have someone look into it.zimmerabc wrote:Same here. No USB, no Mail, no nothing
Edit - received the two I was sent, and have relayed that information to see what's happened.

For those having the problem of the LOCKED SampleTank 4 library button, I seem to have found a workaround, but I would consider this most definitely a BUG which should be fixed.
To workaround, one needs both library paths for SampleTank 4 added - the path where SampleTank erroneously thinks the content is, and the path where the user actually installed the content.
To workaround:
1) Add "C:\Users\Public\Documents\IK Multimedia\SampleTank 4"
2) Add "E:\SampleTank 4 Sound Content", or whatever path to the directory where you have installed the content.
I don't know if this is a side-effect of installing the content on drive other than C:. I hope it is fixed soon.
