Actually, are there any users or the full Miroslav here?? Anyone who does cinematic, game or classic style of orchestrations with it??

I’m curious about your opinion.

Even from folks who are not even customers of the new version being discussed here!

Obviously IK could have done better with the roll-out process, but they have apologized and are working on improvements.

It's not as bad as some drama queens here make it out to be. It's not an apocalyptic end of the world disaster. I survived the download of SampleTank 4 MAX.

Right, on top of ST4 Max,I did the Syntronic krazy deal Had to download and install that.
Syntronic multi's are aren't loading right.It says part 3 loading error but it doesn't say what patch.
Have not had time to go through all syntronic patches.I had to baby sit the ST4 Max Download! GRRRRR!!!!!!

This experience does make a good case for why synthesizers with only a modeled waveform, or a few single cycle samples, or wavetables, are way superior to samplers!

This is fine, if you already have SampleTank 3 MAX (or at least the library location) installed/available you can install SampleTank 4 sounds and then point SampleTank 4 at your SampleTank 3 library location. This is what I did and it worked very well.

Note that London Grooves was not included with SampleTank 3 MAX so you likely will need to download and install that one too.

Since I had not used those till now, I had no way to know?! Of course I would have to pay for the "fixed" downloads - as it says in my account now.

It would be nice if IK would either send out a notification by email or message within the account that there were new versions of downloaded content. Or at least take note that someone did NOT access and downloads the newer versions yet, and NOT charge them again for it.

I currently own every bit of content IK has, so forgive me if I don't scan my user account download page checking for expiration and download dates regularly. I have and DO look once in a while, but there is a ton of content and it is/was not always easy to see.

I'm sure this is one of the cases where IK Support would understand your situation and get you set up with a reactivation directly. Or if you contact me or Ryan_IK here.

Ok. It's not that bad. Could have stood a bit more baking prior to release though. I received 4 as a free update to 3, so I am not going to complain too loudly.

Ah sorry to have missed that. It is a good practice to install those additional libraries like the Bozzio, Peart, Padgham, Parsons, etc into the ST3 location, just not the new ST4 content

Thanks Peter I let the installer install in to st3 sound content folder.
I created a ST4 soundcontent folder, then I unzipped and installed the sounds into the st4sound content folder.Then I installed Sampletank 4.02 Do I have to install 4.02 first?

So my usb came in the mail today. That was a bit of a surprise as i've had no email or tracking nr and my order status on the site is still in progress! So i thought i would install some things and get it started. Click on Installation and Authorization Manual.pdf, 'Format error: Not a pdf or corrupted' hmmm not a good start lol

Don't waste your $$$$ on IK Multimedia ... If I would have known how much of a rip off they are , they put a time limit on your downloads and if u are not able to download in time because of technical issues with my own stuff and then to top that they never even reply back to me when I needed help to download my stuff and back it up before it expired and now I have nothing for my SampleTank ... Waste of money and time ...

I uninstalled 4.02. I installed 4.00. Standalone still crashed.
Installed 4.01.still crashed. Maybe I should empty the st4 content folder.
