Hi guys,
I'm working on a song in which harpsichord takes centre-stage.
At the moment I've only got the one that comes in the Kontakt factory selection, it's not bad, just maybe a little sterile.
Do you know of any free or reasonably priced ones? I am doing a Google as well.
Oh, it doesn't need to be for Kontakt... but I am after samples, because I'd like a stereo recording.
Thanks.

Hello,
Yes, you can find two decent free Kontakt harpsichords :
The Small Italian :
http://sonimusicae.free.fr/petititalien-en.html
and the Blanchet 1720 :
http://sonimusicae.free.fr/blanchet1-en.html
The cheapest one I know that sounds very nice is the Blanchet Cembalo by PrecisionSound ($49) :
https://store.precisionsound.net/shop/blanchet-cembalo/
There is also a cheaper one, but it sounds unique, you love it or you hate it, it's been released very recently, it's the Harpsichord from Xperimenta ($34) :
https://www.xperimentaproject.com/xperi ... rpsichord/
Personnaly, I love it and bought it immediatly, but it has a surprising tone, a lot of bass for a harpsichord, it's a very modern take of a harpischord.

Please don’t read the above post. It’s a stupid one. Simply pass.

Cool! I'd found those top two, and have downloaded them, but haven't tried them yet.DJErmac wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2019 12:21 am Hello,

But hadn't seen that Xperimenta one, and that one sounds great. I'll listen to more demos! Ta!

Actually some of the best Harpischords I've heard have been inside of synths like Synthmaster, and Flow Motion got a great sounding one.
But anywho you can get Sonivox Harpischord for $2 off reverb.com and you can demo it for 14 days first.https://reverb.com/software/instruments ... arpsichord
Also Big Cat released a free Harpischord vst around Christmas check his blog http://bcvsts.blogspot.com/
