I have to wonder what happened to Blamsoft. I thought they did well enough

Well making reason rack extensions is probably not the best business model. It may yet be the downfall of spire .

I hope not. I own Spire, the VST/AU. I understand the Reveal Sound guys make a fair amount of money in the soundest and loops department as well.

I think it was more of an opportunity cost .. and now they have the RE baggage to drag around with them for all new development. Anyways sorry to derail.

Website is up for me. VK-1 is such a great synth - probably one of the best freeware synths of all time.

I hope Blamsoft ports Expanse to VST/AU that will give it a new lease of life and provide huge competition for Xfer Records Serum.

VK-1 is not being detected by Logic Pro X for me. Running latest OS, ran the "Install" which copied to VST folder. Is there supposed to be a .component file as well?

This is actually the only freeware VST synth I use outside the OSC competition because it offers a unique high quality sound

Well... i don't know where you pulled that from, but... they probably make more money with their soundset shop than anyone else in the business. They surely also know how many times their RE sold, and can judge whether or not ongoing RE development pays off or not.

not every company knows what they are doing .. and now Reason allows VST anyhow. Seems like 2 years of wasted development to me.
