The Sensel Morph arrived last week, and they were kind enough to send the developer cable that I initially forgot to order under the same free postage as my original order, (instead of $20 postage for a $14 cable) so I got that midweek.
And my Volca Modular arrived today.
How are you finding the Volca Modular?
Im rather enjoying it, its kinda remarkable how much they've got into that wee form factor.

^ this is the hardware forum, freeware hardware is tricky, no?
No worries, I suspect the intention is to build up a post count. Not actually participate
in a discussion. Almost word for word with another post from the 2018 thread which was deleted
by the mods I guess.

Pretty sure...

Yeah I have the MN Cartesian, a lot of which is based on the 0-Coast interestingly.
Except it costs 4x as much

An additional step sequencer is always a great investment I think. Particularly
for something like the 0-coast.

I like the SQ-1, it's well built and heavy enough that you don't have to hold it down
when connecting or removing cables and it's not gonna move around.
Sadly, it only has cv out (one of the reasons I'm getting the ES-8). You can
drive it's clock though, for that I use Wogglebug which is awesome imho.

:D
Oh, I thought it was the o-coast was based on the Cartesian..
For HW seq I got a Beatstep Pro which does both CV?Gate and MIDI via Din and USB so quiet versatile.

Oh dear.. I am in trouble... :hyper:
Today I ordered my first Eurorack case, just a small 32 HP pwered unit to house
1: Make Noise Mult Passive Multiplier
2: Malekko Invert Mix
3: Erica Synths Pico Scale
4: 2HP Trim Eurorack 2 Channel Attenuator
To interconnect and use between the o-coast and Neutron.

Next will be Expert Sleepers Disting MK4

Ive not had very much time with that so far; only plugged it in yesterday to check drivers and test it was working. Dont think I'll make that much use of the keyboard overlay, its a bit small, but I think I had MPE working fine with Cypher2. I certainly had nice side-side up/down modulation on the keys, since that's a thing. I think the Music Production and Drum overlays will get more use.

But it became clear Ive currently not got anywhere 'right' to put it.
Ive been shuffling various bits of kit around trying to get a better layout of controllers and desktop boxes, but so far I think this might replace the QuNeo which always felt a bit, erm 'stubby' on the pads etc; the Morph seems more responsive. Im midway through rethinking a reorganisation I only got midway-through, though, which doesnt help.
Im starting to wonder now if its worth getting the keyboard overlay; ditching the proper keyboard would give me the space I need for it.

I sometimes put keyboards & mixers on their side, like you do with Playstations. Clears up space.

Thanks for the info :tu:

I never got to try the Keith McMillan stuff, but I've read mixed reviews. Not really surprised that the Sensel unit has it beat ( :D ) Maybe, once you've managed to find the space, and are a bit more familiar, you can give us an update. I'd be especially interested in hearing about the finger-drumming sensitivity and consistency.

Have fun with the MPE stuff. But be careful! You'll be on team Roli before you know it :scared:

This is what I finally decided on, will pay for it tomorrow if all goes well, (some specs missing
for the vampire). So yeah, maybe a little vurtish modular :D Funny, not one make noise module
this time around.
