Hmmm anyone worked with MRhythmizer?
Yeah, I have and it's not that great. It's a use once or twice and never again plugin imo.
Better off with gatekeeper

Molekular by NI
Just checked back to see if anyone had mentioned this yet (and I'm not surprised to see it already mentioned) - I don't own it, but it's on my wish list and I will definitely pick it up at some point.

To me it seems like something that can cover the gamut from mild to extreme reshaping and everything in between.

Had it for a long time, but never really 'felt' it. It took me getting BYOME to really try to get to grips with it, by way of comparison. I still need to spend a lot more time with it :tu:

It's impressive how many of these types of effects are out there. A lot of the tools proposed in this thread look great.

I mainly play piano and so translating that into composing a full electronic composition can be a little tough because my baselines, rhythms, drums, etc can be a bit vanilla. I've realized that these types of tools that take you down new creative paths and introduce new concepts that I wouldn't have thought of are really great for me.

I'm gonna disagree, MRhymizer, especially the multi-band version is pretty great. I just don't think you know how to use it because nobody would if they only used it once or twice, it's a tricky plugin to get you're head around, and then it becomes obvious and easy. People love Gross Beat and it's just a better multi-band version of that. The only other plugin I know that does anything similar is Cable Guys Shaper Box.

I am a really big fan of Looperator right now. I’ll also suggest Izotope Stutter Edit. It has some great presets, and the effects are probably better than Looperator’s but, making your own presets from scratch are a little difficult, and even tweaking the existing presets are hard to figure out (it’s super simple with Looperator) I’ll probably go back to SE soon enough, though. BYOME and SpecOps are both really good as well

So far I'm enjoying it. But I've only spent a few minutes with it. I agree it's like a better gross beat. Some more features would be cool such as different filter types, depth control for the filter, and ability to turn off MIDI note input so it doesn't keep changing patterns when you're playing. Also more effects would be great.
Maybe in future updates!

Depends a bit of your DAW but some allow to turn off midi input per plugin and some have a tool that stops midi from certain range. Explained maybe a bit difficult way.. I just woke up and I have difficulties to communicate even with my native language 😂

Know how to use it just prefer not to. Takes too long to draw, too fidgety, GUI too small, screen is square not rectangular, not accurate, doesn't sync perfectly, nodes get stuck when you move them the wrong way, etc, etc, etc, etc. You get more mileage out of gatekeeper because it behaves more like drawing in you daw + there's no latency, it syncs perfectly. I have a few volume shapers and the M one is by far the worst to the point I just refuse to buy anymore of their products.

and very cool for sounddesign is Melda MTurboDelay (Make it 100% wet - a sounddesigners dream)....

In addition to MUX:
MSpectralDelay
MMorph
...and just about anything else from Melda...
G8tor (very nice UI too and you can have it for ten bucks)
And if you can live with 32 bit: Majken's Chimera - a synth entirely made of noise.
Making music is a nine-to-five job:

Go MuLab!
