Hey all!

I have PreSonus Studio One and I'm not digging the stock reverb.

I'm looking for a nice high quality general purpose reverb plugin.
Drums and vocals mostly, and maybe some guitar.
I'd prefer something natural sounding.
Great presets would be awesome.
No UA please.

I've been reading a lot, and have watched some YouTube videos, but I haven't yet demoed anything.

What would you recommend I demo?

Slate Digital VerbSuite Classics is at the top of my list to try.
I used to use Waves Renaissance Reverb ages ago. I could renew the update plan for RenMaxx.
Valhalla UI is a put off.
FabFilter Pro-R looks interesting.
Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Plug-in Bundle is too expensive. The smaller bundle has no plates.

Thanks!

Valhalla UIs aren't sexy at first, but they're crazy functional in use. Very well designed, great bang for the buck. Your loss if you don't want the consider them. Exponential Audio, now owned by Izotope, reverbs are excellent. Relab has great reverbs. 2C Audio is highly regarded in that area.

If I were you I would get the FabFilter one on sale right now. It is excellent.

2CAudio Breeze 2, Acon Verberate 2, Exponential Audio Reverb Bundle - I would first look at these.

Fabfilter Pro-R is on sale at the moment, seems to fit the bill nicely.

Drums and vocals mostly
Strange, these are 2 things for which I just use stock S1 reverbs (MixVerb for drums and "lexiconish" RoomVerb for vocal), even though I have a lot of other reverb plugins (Acon, 112dB, Eventide, Soundtoys, Softube, Liquidsonics etc).
I'd prefer something natural sounding.
Try Acon Verberate 2.

Waves H-Reverb may be the most all around versatile reverb plugin that sounds great and easy to use.

And you're cheating your ears by not using Vahalla and they can sound just like Lexicon anyway.

For natural sounding nothing beats TC Electronic VSS 3 - it's a physical modelling reverb, not abstract 'algo' or IR, - but I guess the UI will be a put off for you, also too expensive, and Ilok.

Edit: oops I have to correct myself - Relab VSR S24 does, but also too expensive, and Ilok. :help:

for free(FREE ??) the melda convolution reverb..easy UI and comes with great impulses

for cheap (50 bucks) valhalla stuff... great UI ... great sound

looking for flagship (300$)...could be awful/hell of UI for some guys...might/is be the only reverb you might ever need

I agree that the S1 stock algo reverbs are not that great. Start by grabbing the free OrilRiver.

Another one not yet mentioned in this thread is XenoVerb ($50)

I personally favor Eventide UltraReverb.
