So I'm inquiring about the named devices because they were listed as Nevermind chorus sources so I"m definitely curious what options are available there.

THAT SAID

My chorus pedal back in the day had a lot of noise to it, but the grit that it added I'm missing now. What's available in this space too? I'm looking for chorus emulations that have more character, as the options I have these days feel a little too clean. I already have Acon Multiply, Soundtoys Microshift, and guitar rig, but I feel like I can't quite dial the sound in. Azurite comes a lot closer - any more suggestions in that vein? The d16 chorus also sounds interesting to me.

Melda MChorusMB has some pretty interesting presets – including the 'active' presets that have their own dedicated controls. Worth exploring for something a little beyond the ordinary.

Might try Sknote's DDD.
U-He Colour Copy can do Chorus (say that 3 times fast).

Also (and I hesitate to add to the already insane amount of hype) you might try the demo of Valhalla Delay, since a chorus is basically modulated delay lines.
A well-behaved signature.

Dunno how it compares to the stuff mentioned in the OP, but, I like NI's Choral.

TAL-Chorus-LX (Freeware) sounds like a lot of character to me.
