First: How did we start talking about Politics :hihi:
Second: Logic does mostly everythung you want it to dude. The only thing Logic truly lacks is a Good Wavetable synth (Yes I know Retro Has a module but kets be real its far from being Rapid or Serum). And A Good FM Synth.

Of the list the only one I own and the one I Deeply love is Falcon, all 3 are wonderful from what I hear, but Falcon is the only one i've ever bothered to buy and therefore is my Vote.
Also too add one Option that i feel might be relevant given your budget Its smart to keep a lower budget being a beginner, look at Synthmaster! It does Wavetables, surprisingly deep FM, Additive, and Version 3 is gonna add much more. And it's MUCH more affordable then Ohmisphere or Falcon and I think its the best vaue for a synth. It cost more if you buy the Presets but I think those are on sale at the moment as well.

ALSO as i see someone beat me to it, before buying any of these check out the Surge Project. It's hit or miss and a bit buggy for me at times but when It works its exactly what Logic is missing and its F R E E  !
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

zebra-- love it but absence of sample analysis in wavetable section feels limited

falcon -- never used it but it seems good

now my suggestion:

download the meldaproduction version 13.00(beta) from his site
and play with Msoundfactory (it is still in beta but it is stable and will soon get released).
it truly is a behemoth if you can get over its GUI which i think is been improved a lot.was playing with it today with its wavetable and string oscillator module

PS. you might need a large screen for msoundfactory
Win 10 x64 with specs enough to run DAW without bouncing any track
KZ IEM,32-bit 384Khz dac running at 32bit 48Khz
mainly use REAPER, MTotalbundle, Unfiltered Audio TRIAD and LION, NI classic collection,......... ETC

I'm with some others here, that you ought to get out of the mindset of "getting that one synth that does everything". Most of the do it Swiss all Swiss Army knife synths come at the cost of being very cumbersome beasts imo. All of that power necessitates busy, complex, tabby interfaces which can really slow you down at times. You might find that you're better off having a small selection of optimised tools instead. A Swiss Army knife does everything, but in most cases using the dedicated tool for the job instead, yields better results. For 500 bucks for example you could get a few specialised synths to cover wider sonic ground, each offering the best in their field, with good workflow, instead of buying Omnisphere which comprises on the depth of the synthesis techniques in order to fit them altogether in a single package. It's interface is also very tabby/clunky (imo) as a result of including so many options. It does wavetable but not as good Serum or even Hive, it does FM but not as good as Bazille, FM8 or Operator. It does VA pretty well but because everything is buried so deep in menus and tabs it's very slow compared to Diva or Sylenth1, for similar results. Just my 2p and something to consider.
Always Read the Manual!

The one for all could be Halion though, but its a complicated unintuitive beast. The advatage of restricting yourself to a single synth is, that you are forced to focus on just that and most likely get deeper into it than if you had a choice of a dozen... I would not recommend Omnisphere, as its coming with too many good sounds which would hold you back from creating your own and learning it well...

There are two points I want to make. First is to consider the OP's choices and post. We are not talking about our favourite synths here!

Secondly, in practice when you begin to make music and start to record the tracks, you will find that you need much less of everything you previously imagined or test individually. Especially that, it's really a complex job to make many sounds to fit in the mix.

So, my only advice for the OP, is try to make music with more than one track with that synth if possible and see if you still like it, or try to listen to tracks on the genre you prefer that are done by that or this synth. This will make your decision more realistic.

The trap that I slipped into was choosing synths and instruments that I thought I might need! In practice, I need very limited and specific synths and instruments! (Good excuse to sell half of what I have now :hihi: )

It's Onmisphere out in front, with ZerbaHZ coming on strong on the outside! Falcon is holding its own in third and still in the race! The remaining pack is chasing the leaders, and gaining steady ground! Folks, this may be a 6-way photo finish to total confusion!!!

I repeat: ZebraHZ doesn't work without a Zebra 2 license.... :)

The Diva filters in ZebraHZ are at least a little bit(!) overrated. Zebra 2.8 has also good filters, and a lot of tools to get the sound more punchy.

I’ll endorse Zebra2/HZ with the idea that Zebra3 is supposed to be free for HZ owners when it is released. I just happen to find a synth that comes with a 50GB library to be kind of a turn-off. Synths like that always make me think I need to audition all the sample content before I commit to a sound. Not that Falcon and Omnisphere aren’t great synths. I just got an email with a $50 off voucher I could use for Falcon, though. Tempting but $300 is still more than what I want to spend right now, having already paid that for Zebra2/HZ. The jump in quality/utility in U-he’s Hive gets me pretty excited for Zebra3

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Iam still undecided. For the money of Omnisphere i would pretty much get ZebraHz + Diva. And Diva is awesome. I also did watch some Omnisphere Videos on macprovideo. Now i only have to go back to that friend and play with Falcon and i will be totally confused. Haha. First world problems.

This is an excellent decision IMO :tu: Personally I have Diva and RePro (which has two synths RePro~1 and RePro~5) and they are great synths in sound, GUI and workflow :D

You might want to check the 2nd hand market here: viewforum.php?f=43 . I don't think you can find Zebra easily but you might find Diva. You can also use the Dinosaur upgrade to save $50 (or 50 euro) if you purchase Zebra from u-he directly (here I found it: https://u-he.com/products/zebra2/zebra2-crossgrade.html).

Start with just Diva than and add few good sound banks, than think about Zebra next when v.3 comes out and you get better with programing synths.
