Bitspeek/ Vocalsynth alternatives?

Hello all,

This doesn't seem to be a very saturated field, and while I am able to find a significant number of vocoders, there aren't very many that have the "speak and spell" sound to it. Or nearly any other robotic type of sound.

My problem with bitspeek (Which is a GREAT plugin) is that it adds a significant amount of latency, which for my purposes is unacceptable.

My problem with vocalsynth (Another GREAT plugin) is that it's CPU footprint is HUGE. Perhaps due to the fact that it's low latency.

But vocal synth is really a swiss army knife, so I'm looking for the specialized tool I want, that can achieve it at the lowest latency/cpu cost possible. Is anybody aware of any alternatives?
